Publisher's Description

WinStyles is the ultimate theme manager. It lets you apply suites of skins/themes/icons/walls all together. It's what Microsoft, Nintendo, nVidia, ATI, and many others use to distribute suites. A suite might include a visual style, a Winamp skin, a wallpaper, an cursor pack, an icon package, and a trillian skin (for example).

Another way of looking at it is WinStyles takes .themes to the next level by supporting the myriad of third party programs and letting you control all of them from a single interface. It consolidates the various theme/suite formats into a single .suite file that can contain skins/themes/icons within it or go out and download ones specified by the author.

nhavar: If you look to your right, you'll see a combo-box with the label "Rate theis file". People can input ratings without writing a review.

But back on topic: A nice solid program, but I've never really been a fan of this skinning business. I still prefer the "Windows Classic" style.

what's wrong with the rating system on this site that the rating for this product keeps going down even though the same reviews all showing 5 stars? 5 five star reviews and none others and the rating shows now at a 3.9. Is it rigged?

My review:
This is an awesome program. I like the idea of being able to change all of my skinnable programs at once instead of having to go into each one, one by one and muck about in their interface to find the option that changes the skin and then have to move on the the next app, all just so I can get a consistent interface and look. This app makes it much easier to "try out" different "themes" without a lot of effort or a huge learning curve. I like it and Stardock bashing aside, they do make good products and give customers great service at least in the three years that I've used their products.*

I have been using Stardock apps for almost 3 years and they continue to do excellent work. WinStyles actually improves graphics performance in XP. Good stuff!

Sheesh. Rating it 1 star because you don't like Stardock. Get a life buddy. This is a good program and there are already a couple dozen suites over at WinCustomize ready for use with this. Next time review the program based on its merits not based on politics.
