Publisher's Description

WindowZones is an innovative security application that supplements your existing anti-virus and anti-spyware software to bring you effective protection against Internet viruses such as worms and trojans, spyware, keyloggers, drive-by downloads, and other malicious Internet content. Especially effective against zero-day malware attacks, WindowZones works in conjunction with your anti-virus and anti-spyware defenses to protect your computer and your operating system configuration in ways that conventional anti-spyware and anti-virus solutions simply cannot do.

I installed WindowZones because it seems to provide Vista's user account control feature on Windows XP (important because I'm not upgrading to Vista yet). Installation went fine. I had to activate after I bought it but there were no issues with activation. It's pretty much set it and forget it. I tested it by moving IE to the Safe Zone and attempting a change to my system registry (HKLM). That change was thwarted so the product appears to protect you as advertised.

this program works OK... BUT it has a
very buggy activation feature that forces you
to activate it over and over until the entire program stops working! BEWARE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
