Works like a charm on my 2000 Adv. Server. Also updated to Exchange 2000 Post SP3 Rollup 6396.1, SQL 2000 SP3a 8.00.0760.09, and Software Update Services 1.0 SP1 at the same time. Only problem was Zone Alarm freaking out again. It usually does after any Windows Updates or especially an Exchange or IIS update. Half my services hang and don't run, but if I go to safe mode, and set TruVector services to manual and reboot, Zone Alarm will be the last service to start giving the rest a chance to run, and all is well again. Been 4 days now and everything is still A-OK.

Metshrine: which things XP actually "runs a hell of a lot faster" than 2k? Maybe I should upgrade to XP if that is true.....

To those Morons who think its fake: morons, its final build, its gold/rtm/fcs whatever. build number folks. MSFT typically delays the deployment of service packs on the website to give preferred customers some time to get at it before the feeding frenzy plus it gives them a few days of lead to catch problems like Service Pack 6 VS. Service Pack 6A. If only MSFT would do a pack every three months instead of whenever they feel like it. Also, to those morons who don't know what was fixed, there are several places listing the 675 KB-Q-articles addressed in this release. Morons. Also, I would like to report that SP4 is, as far as I can tell in this short while, not overtly breaking or destabilizing things.

I agree with Metshrine. Windows XP is a great operating system (speed and stability), and you don't need a PHD in computer science to disable some of the added graphical stuff (and a few other things like the new Windows XP search feature). I also give 5 starts for SP4.

Turtle:Yes i realise that..so why isnt it on microsoft site at the moment..downloaded 4 hours ago and its still not there. Will say its not giving any problems but with the amount of leaked sp4`s around it makes me wonder.....

I rate this a 5. I have xp thou, but have installed sp4 on 6 different boxes today alone without a hitch. All programs work. I still prefer XP over 2k because it is far more stable and runs things a hell of a lot faster. Yes it has the eye candy, but you can remove it for all you lame f**kers who are simply to lazy to do this and thus insult the os.

After installing SP4 for Windows 2000, I have at least 3 programs that no longer work. The installation programs for these programs even stopped working for one of them. I don;t recommend installing this service pack unless you can test it and remove it if there are problems.

You'd replace XP with 2K? You're definitely NOT a well man...
