UWP has a lot of advantages for media consumption apps like amazon, netflix, and disney+. The main one is being able to ship the same code base on Xbox console and on PCs. Disney+ did this and their app is one of the best I've used. They released on xbox first and then brought the app to PC.
Apple's music and tv apps are also UWP on xbox. I wonder how come they used the Windows App SDK on PC
