The DEMO/TRIAL version is FREE! The full-blown version costs $149 ... but is WELL WORTH it, even for a private user!
had a document near 300 pages once that became corrupted 2 days before delivery! I was heartsick as there was no way to recreate that document in time.
I went home at lunch in tears and got on the internet. I found the following Word recovery tool … tried the demo download against my document and it worked! Ordered it and then went back to the company and asked if they'd reimburse me for it. They did! I met my deliverable!!!!!!!
To be honest it wasn't all seamless, but better than pasting 20 pages at a time into a new document. The issue was the number of graphics I had … it recovered all my text and formatting and put all the graphics at the tail end of the document. I didn't mind that … at least it still had the graphics and I didn't have to redo all my screen shots.
$149 vs. the time to recreate documents is WELL WORTH the cost!
