Toolbars are for wussies and a waste of pixels.

never had a problem with it.
all my bookmarks are at yahoo and the mail notification works as it should.

yup it's broken alright! can't change the buttons can't add or move . I think broken qualifies! too bad as I enjoy access to the maps and other Yahoo items.

I'm really disappointed with Yahoo. This new toolbar sucks, specifically, the Bookmarks button, which does not allow you to see all your /bookmarks.
lucianct reviewed v1.4.0 on Feb 2, 2007
no thanks! i don't like it! it's useless! if i want to search i use the search box or google toolbar, which has handy features and stores the settings locally, not on the server, like yahoo does.
i think i'll do the same thing i did with the internet explorer version: uninstall

dear yahoo,
sorry for the 1/5,
but your products/services have just been getting worse recently, and this tool bar, just as anyother toolbar is useless in a browser as perfect as firefox, also please check what features are integrated in the browser for which you release your toolbar and try comming up with some new stuff instead of using features that are allready resident in the application. wheres the inovation??!!!

4 because it does not have a way to 'open all bookmarks in a folder.'

Another five stars for the portable bookmarks bewteen browsers (ie and ff). awesome!
jjdavis reviewed v1.0.0 on Jul 28, 2005
I give this a 5 mainly for the Bookmark feature, which has enabled me to synch my bookmarks seamlessly across several different computers and in both FireFox and IE. The Yahoo toolbar rocks.

Man this is one of the best toobars ever!!!!

Although it's a completely useless toolbar in Firefox I applaud Yahoo for jumping on the opensource bandwagon. I'm in total support of opensource. So for that simple fact i'll gice it a 3 out of 5

Won the prize of the most useless plugin i've ever seen.
RSS ? Included in firefox.
Yahoo Search ? Included in firefox.
Mail notification ? Hundreds of available plugins.
Anti malware ? Wow another plugin that will stop 1% of popups. Get adblock.
No changelog by the way. Minimalist description.
Let's say 1.5/5 cause it doesn't hang.

The most useful feature for me is the email notification icon.
I'm also finding Save To My Web very handy as I can quickly bookmark important websites I've found at work and can access them from home, without having to email the URL to myself and without my bookmarks being tied to a particular computer.
I don't use it for searching.

This is absolutely terrific! Support not only for Firefox but for Linux too!
As Open Source Technology in the form of Apps and OSes takes a stronger and tighter hold of user Desktops, it will be companies like Yahoo that have already psoitioned themselves into this Market and will continue to remain profitable. Smart, very smart.

Seems to integrate quite well with Firefox. An improvement over previous version.
May be useless to some and quite useful to others.
One thing is sure, Firefox is getting some of the recognition it deserves.

Well... this program works! quite redundant with ffox functions though. it takes too much room for too little use.
Uninstalled ;-)
Pipewrench reviewed v0.2b on Feb 10, 2005
I give it a 4 only because this toolbar is not even needed. There is already a search field in Firefox in the upper right corner. You can even set it to use Yahoo! instead of Google. I have no idea what the advantage of this would be. Maybe so you can check your Yahoo Email or something while looking at the toolbar. Who knows.
I'd say don't bother. I installed it and it went fine, and then I uninstalled it within 10 minutes.
Cheers :)

Hey Sophist, try clicking on the Yahoo Firefox toolbar link, and see what it says about spyware tool coming soon. I never said it was in this release. It is coming soon. See, this site is called BETAnews...oh never mind.
