"a total waste of money and CPU cycles"

Go back to using DOS, then !

ZoomOpen is a nice graphical enhancement. No productivity increase ...just like colored title bars on program windows. It's purely to make your computing experience more enjoyable.

The PC Rat likes it !

Update: It uses just under four megs of memory (vs. 10-megs for the anti-virus proggie, and 5 to 12-megs that other utilities like FileBox, ShortKeys, and GuruNet utlize).

So it's on the low end of system resources usage.

Ok, on day 11 of the 15-day trial, ZoomOpen started popping up nag windows on the desktop every 15 minutes.

Sleazy !

I agree. I've seen a great many applications which represent a total waste of money and CPU cycles, and this one tops the list. They want $20 for a totally useless application like this? Please--if you are considering throwing $20 away on wasteware like this, drive downtown and give that $20 to a homeless person instead.

Interesting little idea. I have zoom open 2.2 (old freeware version that works fine from win95 to win2k) around somewhere and it is cool for about a few hours for the gee whizz factor... However, why anyone would pay for it is beyond me!
