Publisher's Description
EarthViewer 3D harnesses the power of NVIDIA GPUs. Fusing high-resolution satellite and aerial imagery, elevation data, GPS coordinates, and overlay information about cities and businesses, it delivers a streaming, 3D map of the entire globe to PCs powered with NVIDIA GPUs.
Note: EarthViewer 3D requires an NVIDIA GPU (nForce, GeForce2, GeForce3, or GeForce4). For the best earth browsing experience, a broadband internet connection (128kbs) is also recommended.

I used EarthViewer 3D (not nVidia enhanced) and was very impressed by the near perfect User Interface. The subscription would almost be worth the $600 price tag if I had a use for it. I really enjoyed jumping around with the 14 day trial still though.
The plain version I used had pretty much no topographical/3Dness in it except for the Spherical Globe of the earth. Has this been changed at all in the nVidia version?

Great idea, really. Poor implementation. Having to sign up for user/pass. 30 Day Trial. I was eager to have fun with this, but I guess not. Hopefully future versions will be better. I look forward.

Damnit, if you can't get the program to work because their authentication server is overloaded then don't give it a rating at all. Once I finally got registered I found this program to be one of the most amazing pieces of software to ever cross my hard drive. They just need to refine the interface a bit.

After the program bombed a number of times while trying to register, it's working, but it could use a lot more geographic coverage, i.e. many places that can be viewed in greater detail (though not 3D!) from other services are fuzzy in this program. The ability to tilt and zoom around in 3D is excellent, however.

Okay, error after error it worked for me now. Its a really good program but a fast computer and great bandwith is recommend ! It crashes sometimes anyway.

Great concept, wish it worked :-), contact the developer, the shortcut it creates improperly states the target dir to run in, you have to recreate the shortcut, but it still hangs.

Is it just me or does this program crash after you enter your login/password/registration ID and it attemps contacting its authentification server?
