Pretty cool, but difficult to maintain. For small group sharing, I recently started testing imeem. It really shows promise in it's simple apporach to solving the private peer-to-peer problem. And, it's got heavy encryption to protect everything...

I used to rate AIM higher, but it's going downhill. Features feel slapped on willy-nilly. I like sharing files via IM, and imeem is a much better solution. I wish they'd release it for all users.
