ASTRA performs computer configuration analysis and diagnostics. It gives detailed information about your computer hardware and devices operational modes, including undocumented information. A unique quick HDD Health Status checker is included. It provides information on CPU, motherboard, hard disks, S.M.A.R.T., CD/DVD devices, SCSI devices, memory modules, chipset, BIOS, PCI/AGP, ISA/PnP and PnP devices, monitor, video card, sound card, network card, printer, etc. This program also creates a report file in plain text, INI, HTML, XML and CSV format, and is able to run in batch mode. The DOS version is especially designed for system restore purposes and may be used by repair professionals, Windows version also available.

This works perfectly!
I've installed it on my bootable flash drive and it's an essential diagnostic tool.
Kudos to the manufacturer for making this excellent DOS application, and keeping it going!

Are all you people gone nuts or are you guys blinder than bats???
Sysinfo labs should be APPLAUDED for still continuing and maintaining a DOS program like ASTRA. I make multi-boot disks, and you can't quite imagine how useful ASTRA is.
If you don't know the differene, AIDA32, Everest, etc are WINDOWS programs. This program was never meant to run under Windows. Its meant for emergency purposes. Ok, so you say AIDA16. Well, FYI, AIDA16 is history. Agreed that it was the best program, but lets face it, its histroy. AIDA16 no longer supports the spanking new hardware, can no longer detect the new stuff.
On the other hand, ASTRA is one of the VERY FEW programs for DOS that still continue to be maintained and updated.
Before reviewing a program, please get your facts straight. You're only yourselves look like dumb@sses.

This could be useful with a computer that has no OS installed yet, or one that is having problems loading Windows. Just boot with a DOS startup disk and run it. Seems similar to the old MSD program except it recognizes more and newer hardware. However if you have Windows up and running this program is rather useless. You can get most of this info from Windows itself, not to mention all the much better Windows based programs out there.

This would have been a great program, 5 years ago. It will only run under DOS, and I haven't used a DOS based platform in YEARS! Maybe it would be useful if I booted from a floppy disk?...if only I had one in my system!
