Publisher's Description

CATraxx is a powerful database program designed to help you catalog and manage your music collection. CATraxx will let you catalog all media types, including CDs, LPs, cassettes, mini discs, and MP3s. CATraxx supports CDDB - the worlds largest music database. CATraxx has a comprehensive set of data fields for both albums and tracks, enabling you to catalog a wide range of information: artist, album title, media format, release year, label, catalog number, purchase price, current value, music category, playing time, song titles, songwriters, producers, recording studios, musicians and instruments. You can store an image of the album cover, attach a MP3 file to each track, and add your own personal comments for both albums and tracks.

It looks nice, but the trial version has a limitation of only adding 50 albums in the database, so I can't test the speed of the program; and speed seems to be the biggest problem with huge mp3 collection (30000+), so I stick to Advanced MP3 Catalog. But stupid that the develpers don't let us try the program under normal conditions.

A very nice music organizer. I have already tried many of similar apps and come to the conclusion that CATraxx is the best. What I like most of all in this program is that it's totally customizable. At the same time I have noticed one very serious drawback: CATraxx doesn't support Cyrillics as well as other non-English alphabets as I suppose. Unfortunately FNProgramvare are not going to improve their software from this point of view.

I search years for the perfect CD databse, CATraxx did the trick for me. And then I switched to Linux, oh my !

@Dark...I think that if you wan't to pack so much info and detail regarding a cd album, you do have to be a little bit complicated. You can't avoid that, unless you want to stay poor in the feature's field. It might be a bit complicated at first, but it's very easy to use after a while and truly powerful.....@drummerjoe...the program is aiming towards the cd market mostly. I think it's unfair to rate it with just 1 star just because it lacks Ogg support. What about all the others that offers?!

CATraxx is a bit too complicated to use. I strongly suggest checking out Music Label 2003 for your cataloging needs. The one advantage CATraxx has over it is the sheer amount of information you can add.

I have also used quite a few of cd catalog programs till now and I can clearly say that Catraxx is the most complete and feature packed one. You can literally create an excellent music encyclopaedia with the amount of information you can add to it. Almost every participant of a cd can be added if you wish. Give it a try and prepare to be amazed by its sheer functionality.

I once was told by a guy who tried nearly every available CD Library programs that CATraxx was the more powerful of them all. From what I tested, it seems to be true. Everything you want to do can be done with this one. Too bad it's ugly (IMO), hence the rating of only 4 : I still prefer to use another, less featured but much clearer, one.
