Publisher's Description

D7 is a tool for PC technicians to aid in many tasks and provide a uniform procedure for technicians to follow. It has many capabilities and many uses including offline and live malware removal assistance, offline registry editing, CPU/RAM stress testing, information gathering and quality assurance uses, etc. etc. Too much to list here, right now at least. It also combines some other projects of mine such as DataGrab and CheckDisk, among other smaller things.

Note that D7 is not the malware scanner or remover, YOU are. YOU control it's behavior by whitelist/blacklist functionality, and by your own pair of hopefully good eyeballs. D7's MalwareScan functionality is designed to show you want D7 doesn't recognize, by whitelisting known good items, and automatically deleting known bad items. From there, D7's MalwareScan merely shows you what is left after the whitelisting/blacklisting is applied. From there, you have the option to whitelist, blacklist, delete, rename, ignore, google, or whatever you want with the results.

THIS TOOL IS INTENDED FOR EXPERIENCED PC TECHNICIANS ONLY, NOT FOR "END USERS."

Started out with a rating of 5, Deducted 1 for "Speeling" in description,,,Then deducted 3 for forced install of "CrapWare" . The program may/would have some value if it did not install all the crap. Fortunately, I have a "stopper" for rude programs that try to make changes that I did not authorize, So many talented developers suffer from "control" disorders that their work will never succeed as a notable developer,,,anyone can write malware without much effort..It takes maturity and intelligence to develop serious useful application..

it is a good program
to whom ever makes this program
you could make it easier to use not some sort of guessing game... the interface is just confusing and you keep taking away features .... I have used D7 for a long time and every version is a new guessing game.... I did buy the pro version from you......

Noobs.... Heed well what CD999 has said..!!

# Testing Only #
Downloaded, Unpacked, Launched... (Evaluation = 200 Uses).
A lot of guys who have (or will) download this App JUST to see what it does will probably go straight to the Tweaking section. A system can be tweaked to a Standstill. Hung App timeout & Crash Control etc, can be adjusted by the user via regedit. ONLY techy's should Unhide SuperHidden files via CACLS, "not a clickable proggy". Just 2 points that jumped out at Launch.
If you feel you've got to have a dabble.. Launch>Help>OnlineManual.
The publisher has given a VERY strict warning in UPPER-CASE at the end of the Preview.

I gotta Admit that I looked in the Modules folder & there are some Good Standalone & CMD line Apps in there.

(4* for the Whole App)... 1* for Noob Use... 5* for some of the Modules.

Valuable tool which I have reviewed previously. Each release refines the product. Developer very responsive to feedback. I would challenge KikzAzz review about file associations. I just ran the latest (3.9.0) version and checked my associations. It makes none. If you disagree, K-Azz, please list at least a few of the associations you believe are reassigned, so that others can confirm. My experience is exactly the opposite of yours...

How the hell are you supposed to get rid of this thing as it has hundreds of associations and no simple way of getting rid of it.

A good product that turned into a nasty product. I'll now classify it as a high-jack.

This is turning out to be a very good tool for computer repair on-the-fly.
If you have all the required components, it's really quite an excellent tool that can only get better.

To the devs: May I suggest working in the GUI for Sysinternals Suite?
Aside from that, this program has obviously taken on a life of it's own and development is surging forward in a very nice, progressive manner.

To someguy: REALLY? If you're not in the computer repair industry, please don't bother to even download any computer repair products, let alone rate them.
Do you, as a potential "computer repair specialist", see a problem with a program that needs to be run on a potentially infected machine - missing it's "installer" Who creates an installer/uninstaller for a program that clearly needs to be run from a portable device (USB or CD/DVD)???

To anyone reading some guy's post, please do yourself a favor and read his other ratings and posts and you'll get a better idea of what I'm talking about..
