Publisher's Description
DVD ReBuilder was built to bridge the gap between the incredibly easy but limited "one-click" solutions and the incredibly complex but high-quality methods of DVD ripping and backup. A major advantage of this program when compared to older methods is that it doesn't require access to an expensive authoring package. It includes its own authoring engine that reconstructs the DVD in a way compatible with its original design.

Do what I did guys, donate and get the PRO version. It is SO much better. With the BETA Viewer it is just amazing! Well worth the money!

All encoders aren't free? Maybe you should actually download DVD-RB and have a look. Obviously you didn't because you would have found it supports 3 free encoders. And they aren't bad, FAR from it.

darkpepe and Saxtus - I think you are both wrong:
both are good for their purpose, and you should consider both of 'em!
If encoding percent under DVDShrink it is smaller than a certain value (most will say around 80%) then you should use dvd-rb, else Shrink is doing a great job. For instance if Shrink has a 95% and you prefer to dvd-rb, you might (almost sure) end up with with lower quality than with shrink.

Transcoding (doesn't matter how deep the analysis is) can't match the quality of re-encoding. So DVD Shrink can't give you better result from DVD ReBuilder because of the type of processing it does.

DVD Shrink is WAY easier to handle, and it produces a FAR better picture than the ReBuilder. Since shrink offers transcoding with deep analysis and quality enhancements like "Sharp" it surpasses reencoding engines like CCE.
Also speed is quite an argument against reencoders VS. "Compressed Domain Transcoders" as Shrink.

amazing product. best quality. worth the price for up to date version. 1.03 is great, but been using it since early beta. haven't had any issues for quite some time.

I very much like this package. Can be relatively simple for those not knowing much about video (like me) or powerful enough for those who do.
Actually, one can "resume" using the one-click. For instance, I used the one-click mode and during the rebuild of the encode, I ran out of disk space and it crashed. I just went to 3-button mode and was able to rebuild without having to re-encode (once I freed some space of course).
I'm going to donate now after trying it out for a bit.

You can resume, so long as you don't use the 1-click option. When in 3-step you can resume from the last successful encode.
Anyway I would highly recommend to anyone to donate some $5 or $10. Well worth it for one, and two once he reaches 1.0 he'll start selling it for $29.99, but of course anyone who donates before then will get free updates for life.

Tasty - change the skin.
Just donated to this ap, due to its GREAT feature of being able to produce an anamorphic 16:9 result using a 4:3 source. Very nice for copying your DVD
to use with an HDTV.Can use a plethora of encoders, is very flexible as far as how to handle the content you want on your Rebuilt DVD.

DVD shrink will only do so much,some dvds can't be used by it as updates are no longer provided. it is a "one click solution" in combination with free programs (or pay you choose) that will transcode dvds so that they will fit on a 4.7 gb dvd. feel free to visit the site.

this program is awesome. After a little research and RTFM i was able to create a sterling silver sweet copy of my Futurama DVD (after using DVD decrypter). i acquired a set of instructions on how to use it properly from doom9, btw to the guy talking about expensive encoders dvd rebuilders webite has a link to a few free ones.

Freeware is the app.. all the encoders you need to run it, are not. And most are very expensive.
