Written in AutoIt? How did you arrive at that conclusion? You're the one who should be ashamed, Point Zero.
Even if it were written in AutoIt (it's not), it doesn't matter--it's better than the alternatives. I've used XFilesDialog extensively, and you wanna talk about bugs? XFD has them. Direct Folders crashes on me and the author ignores his users. The freeware alternatives have all been abandoned and suck in their own ways.

I still think this is the best program for it's use, one point reduced though for not being updated anymore and a few bugs still exist in it.

It uses fewer resources and is faster than XFilesDialog.
Unfortunatelly it has some problems, and is not updated much frequently, so I have comed back to XFilesDialog.

As I see, this software still doesn't support 'Browse for File' dialogs, and MS Office dialogs also (only substitutes them, which is no good solution, imho).

I have been using File-Ex for years, and I've also tried all the others, including very recently. File-Ex offers more flexibility and control over all aspects of its operation, particuarly the favorites lists.
[My apologies to the FileForum staff for rolling up all the changes from 3.0.0.16 to 3.0.0.24 into one list. I thought it was appropriate at the time.]

I've only been using this app for a short time, but it has proven to be very stable and useful. I have always hated renavigating over and over to save/open files.
