Publisher's Description

FreeText is a simple and easy-to-use notebook for making notes, keeping to-do lists, storing information on accounts and contacts, etc. It can be helpful when you need to save a link, interesting citation, phone number or to simply insert text from a clipboard for a short time. By clicking on a program icon you can immediately start entering data. You don't have to create and save files - the file is always open in the program, and all changes are automatically saved.

This isn't a Notepad program, it's a Notes program and with a unique approach to taking notes. I played with this program a while back and was interested in it's take on notes. It's got enough features and and options and it's light on resources. My problem is that I'm so tuned to using treeview note programs that I can't adjust to use FreeText for notes. But the program is a solid program.

Not sure how much this is better than notepad or notepad++. To previous poster, the text size can be changed under Settings > Editor > Font Size.

Would be nice if I could change font size (older eyes need that)
