actually a super nintendo and a computer are one in the same... or did I miss something about the definition of a computer.

I am using Virtual PC on an old QuickSilver Apple G4 computer from 2002.
OSX 10.5.7 and Panther. Fresh Diagnose helped me become faster then 6 REAL computers. I have the benchmark of the memory to prove it.
All the four free programs are good and registration is easy. People a computer is not a super-Nintendo just for games. To get the maximum profit from a computer comes from studying operating systems.
I had to install VPC to help my elder brother (79) from Curacao
I live in the Netherlands. No, I so not have a University degree,

I downloaded theprogram and installed it. Tried several attempts to get a registration code, but it turned out to be an exercise in futility. Uninstalled it. Not for me. Thanks.

DKD:

ehhh...that is the case for 'most' programs. Revo Uninstaller very good btw.

alshawwa:

agreed... & there's just too much good competition in that arena... from pcwizard to belarc to etc.
Although i will concede one thing: Fresh Diagnose runs very, very fast comparatively speaking.

its not really a bad software , there are too many better softwares in the same category but the best is lavalys everest. more customizable and it has a lot of functions included.

2 for the effort.

Try install FreshDiagnose, then unistall it with Revo-uninstaller, now look at all the crap Fres has made all over det registry and c:

Sorry guys, I dont trust that program, not a second.

BTW. Make a restore point before, just in case something goes wrong.

While doing a diagnosis of my monitor the system the screen went black and system locked. When I got back on, the two hard drives had changed drive desinations, c became h and h became c. I eventually had to use my recovery disk and format the c drive (after changeing the drive designations back). Not sure I would trust this program.

You can't register with a Hotmail address. Their error message says they don't support "free" email accounts, but some people keep a Hotmail address as part of paid MSN Premium service. In any case, they allowed Gmail, so obviously it's not an issue of Hotmail being free, probably just that they assume people use temporary Hotmail accounts to avoid seeing their advertising emails later.

They don't tell you that you need to exit and relaunch the program after entering your registration code. I figured it out because many other programs require it, but some people might get confused.

Fresh Diagnose is certainly pretty and fairly comprehensive, comparable to PC Wizard 2006. However, Fresh Diagnose failed to detect any of my fan speeds, nor temperatures other than the motherboard. SpeedFan detected them all easily. Admittedly, my P4R800-VM is not one of Asus' more popular motherboards, but it's still an Asus. We're not talking about a bargain basement special from TigerDirect or Fry's.

Worse, my Hitachi and WD drives (both ordinary PATA) support the temperature attribute via SMART and can be read successfully by most SMART utilities such as HDD Health, SpeedFan, GetSMART, etc. Fresh Diagnose didn't even try. If this were Version 1.0, I'd cut it some slack, but 7.34 of a tool for "diagnosis" really needs better temperature sensing.

Lastly, a pet peeve: It's already a bad enough example for kids learning to write when a company runs two capitalized words together without a space, sometimes for the sake of being able to trademark it. But when the company doesn't bother to do it consistently, then it's obviously just sloppiness, typically due to programmers who are accustomed to omitting spaces in identifiers like variable names. The title bar, the Help|About dialog, and all the shortcuts created by the installer call this program FreshDiagnose (one word), but the web site and the registration emails all call it Fresh Diagnose (two words). Most of the online help calls it FreshDiagnose but part of the License section calls it Fresh Diagnose. Depending on what you look at, the company is either FreshDevices or Freshdevices. Perhaps the company isn't paying attention to the changes being made by Spell Check and AutoCorrect features in their authoring programs. Tools like Fresh Diagnose are for detail-oriented situations; the difference between 16KB and 16MB is only one letter but matters quite a bit. It's hard to be totally comfortable trusting the information from Fresh Diagnose when the makers can't even get its name straight.

as of now i can only rate this product as low as possible, i have made every attempt to register with fresh devices 9both before and after i downloaded the utility).
i have not received an email with reg info though i have followed the instructions seeral times, i have also written directly to fresh devices help and received no response.
Beta is one of my favorite sites and it is unfortunate that my first review has to be such a disheartening one
