It's good that it connects to G2 and Gnutella, but th interface is so confusing, it has great features like extended info (Like Morpheus with GnucDNA) but change the nasty confusing interface bring a new look in!!!

first of all this user "betamember" has said the same thing about 20+ progs...he should be banned and get his spam s*** of this site! second Gnucleus has a good design and a GUI I kind of like, although a Morpheus clone... but more importantly, it still pales in comparison to the features and support of Kazaa, and the speed of LimeWire... a good beginning that will kick AzS with a little work...

very good or best program on the market, maybe in the future with WASTE, see this linklist: www.wastewatchers.org

There's a lot to recommend this client: free, lightweight, open-source, no spyware or ads. For me though, its searches have proven the most ineffective of any Gnutella client. Still, I'll keep trying new major releases, in hopes one will consistently find what I look for. If it already works well for you, congratulations, and stick with it.

The new version has support for super nodes and is also capable to abort searches. Two of the most requested features. Gnucleus is getting better with each version update !!

"this app is cool. but you have linked the false file! you linked GnucleusLAN and not Gnucleus!!!"
Grrr, betanews!!!
I was wondering why the name change, and why it didn't connect to any servers for me, cmon it was early in the morning when i downloaded it ;)
Wish betanews would not allow such silly slips, that can be quite bothersome.
As for Gnucleus, one of the best file sharing appz out there next to Grokster.

Of all the gnutella clients I've tried (Bearshare, Xolox, LimeWire, FileNavigator..) Gnucleus is the best one. This is because of all its features like multiple source downloading, the WORKING ability to resume downloads, and the ability to join and drop yourself from other servers. For beginners, it's great, if you're a veteran to gnutella, this is definitely for you.

The new Multi Source downloading in Gnucleus 1.6 is fantastic. And the best no nasty advertisements.
aeroe reviewed v1.5 on Nov 25, 2001
greatly improved now, has loads of features to optimize connections. probably the best gnutella client out there, too bad gnutella itself plain out sucks.
bobad reviewed v0.8.1 on Jun 17, 2000
There are some welcome changes to the spartan and barely usable Gnutella, but it still has a long way to go. Advanced search? Heh...the search is nearly useless. It's far too general, and comes up with a lot of chaff you're not looking for. The most glaring problem with Gnucleus is that it will not save your configuration settings. It keeps trying to dump MP3's directly on my desktop, in spite of my configuring it to put them in a folder. A few fixes and I think we'll have a nice program here. Keep it going!
