Dear medium and small businesses, please tell us whats the difference between this firewall and ,,normal,, desktop firewall for PC? Why do not install separate apps? More money in your pockets? So what? Simply overprice.

Sorry for the confusion. The product description has been updated. Kerio did use to have a free personal firewall, but this is a unified gateway solution for small to medium networks.
It is not just a firewall and router, but it comes with a suite of solutions that administrators can manage in one box.

For that price it must have something good about it.

Kinda priced to high, I agree. Get a router at half the price, and a good firewall. Comodo, Zonealarm, and etc.

Shame their professional product doesn't follow in the same lines as their home product (did). Kerio (now Sunbelt) Personal Firewall is a kick-ass solution for home users, IMO.

I personally an tired of seeing companys say there software is "shareware" then post a price of $399.00.
Sorry folks ANYTHING over $50.00 is _*NOT*_ Shareware, at $50.00 and above it becomes a COMERCIAL DEMO.

Apart from lousy technical support and a handful of undocumented limitations, Kerio is a pretty solid firewall and NAT program.
Kerio's support never answers e-mails or 'support tickets' on their websites. I found out the hard way when I noticed Kerio using 100% CPU whenever large files are transfered to and from the network. I checked out their support forum and found that everyone else was having the same problem and apparently the only advice Kerio had was to install WinRoute on a dedicated computer!
How is that even a solution? We have a 100Mbit internet connection (shared by about 100 employees, far less than the licensing of WinRoute suggests can support) and we often transfer large video files and have video conferences. How is Kerio WinRoute limiting us to 2MB/s a design feature? Whenever Kerio is installed our 8MB/s connection turns into a 2MB/s!
Stay off this unless you don't mind slowing your computer down massively!
