looks like a nice idea, i since always looked for a program that stores some important information. too bad this one won't run on WinXP 64-bit.
anyone know of any other program alike? looking for something that can put Encription too on data base and not just store Users and Passwords, just notes too.

danmc - it's a bad sign when the author tries to move discussion on a public forum over to some little-known forum on his site. People come here to see what other people think of software, good or bad.
This is an interesting utility that I have added to my watch list. Keep writing promising code like this and you'll have nothing to fear from public feedback!

I'd rather buy & install a credit card reader for my pc. Seriously, keepass is just fine & autotpyes which is much more efficient. For windows I think keywallet is the best.

I like this program because of it's portability and flexibility. I love the idea of being able to export the exacutable and data to my thumb drive and access my "bits" of data from anywhere. Custome fiels are easy to add and edit. Sadly, I have to give it a 3 because I can't store private data yet, as there is no root password to secure the information I enter. I'll be watching closly though and I look forward to the updates.

NO!!! ColoradoRon-- YOU are supposed to have all your necessary system files & your system updated! YOU and ONLY you, are resposible-- That is what Windows Update is for!
Heck, at least you didn't ask for the whole windows xp pro to be included in the package....
Do you also expect WMP codecs & plugins to be bundled w/ every multimedia file you download?
Poor baby, it must've been so exhausting to have to get the framework-- but guess what, a lot of programs won't install w/o it.

Wellmont - Common password is one the way, this is a big request. Also, everything IS stored in a single transferable file. In fact I even automate the installation (executable and data file) via the "Tools -> Install To" option. Would love further feature suggestions here: http://www.niftysoftware...iscussion/AllItems.aspx
ColoradoRon - The framework is a very big download, and would increase the kNox download a LOT. The recommended approach is for users to download it from microsoft, then all .NET applications can have smaller downloads. Couldn't get the program installed. First it told me it needed to have .NET installed so I took care of that. BTW the author should go to Microsoft and get the distributable version of .NET and include it in the package so each user doesn't have to do this. After .NET was installed the program refused to run.

The program is useful, but you need to impliment a common password for protection. There is also a problem with the lack of a single transferable file that holds the information, this too would become a security issue but it's worth it in case your computer bombs you still have that information...there are a couple of programs here on FileForum that do these things well. This program needs assignable fields, customizable catagories, etc you get the picture.

I haven't used this program, but I'm slightly worried about the sort of cadid way it says you can store credit card details and logins easily, sounds a bit odd to me....
