The LVPrcSrv"process monitor" service still kills Cygwin sshd sessions :-(

I have to stop it & change its startup to manual

It works for me.

What's new in 10.80

- Reduced CPU utilization mainly noticeable on INTEL systems.
- Concern over audio in (mic) not matching what may be expected has been addressed included additional messaging to users.
- AEC has been removed.

Past versions also messed with scanner drivers / bluetooth etc. Logitech drivers do not remove thoroughly during un-installation
there is a support forum

and it seems ONE GUY ( KachiWachi) answers most of the questions, well trys too! LOL , He is nice as well.

Like AMD/ATI they should offer "Just the driver" Option for download. The last version installs services, spyware? Even if you install using custom install( from what I remember in the last version )

I think even pluging in the device and letting Vista Windows Update, bring in the driver brings in the bloat as well..

I am hesitant to install this or even decompile and just point to for drivers with my FRESH Vista install. M@

I owned a $230 Logicrap remote control. Horrible, and I don't believe their cheap but expensive-sold cams will be better. I don't pay $3 for hardware + $227 for a crappy "name" ever again.

Beware of issues with Logitech webcam software. I'm not a Logitech hater-I have bought at least 10 of their mice and 3 of their webcams. And the camera and software work fine, for what it's worth. But they caused SERIOUS problems elsewhere--I'm referring to v11 on Vista. I HOPE this version fixes some of those issues:

-prevented Thunderbird update 2.009 from working (bizarre, but documented HERE: http://forums.mozillazin...901761a9d1582c9f500f6ce )

-screws up EXCEL 2007 gui (bizarre, but search Microsoft discussion groups and you'll see: try the 'excel application errors' group and search 'logitech' or 'corrupt display')

-when I attempted to uninstall the Logitech software itself, an endless corrupting loop ensued. When it was finished, the Windows Installer itself was screwed up and ALL my USB ports & subsystems were ruined. No peripherals would work, and they could NOT be re-installed. I will probably have to reinstall Windows itself.

This was on a brand-new Vista quad-core with a very clean configuration.

Advice: research thoroughly before installing the full software from logitech. Consider installing drivers only. And always CLEAN BOOT prior to install or uninstall.

I need only a driver, they give me a big blob software witch is incompatible with my OS.
Win 2003 is so close to XP, why don't they take one debug day to fix this ?
Completely useless.

This update to the drivers/software for the Quickcam is nice. It's somewhat laughable that this if finally listed here, however. This version was released on 02.02.2006. Over 6 months ago :-p

I download it directly from logitech in spanish, the program is so big 30Meg. and with My PII 200Mhz and quickcam home do not work, video is black and mic is ok. Also install other nice free sofware that some people dont need, suggest that logitech could focus on Drivers not in software, is so difficult to find this drivers that supuose to be on any windows but not. All the cameras have the same name Quickcam and the the diference is the laste name WEB, home, etc. so to find the acurate drivers become so dificult. Also in the back of my cam it say Model VCAM-U1 but in any place of logitech you can find what driver is it.

What I noticed it took away some of the camera settings. I can do without the apps but I prefer the flexability of the settings in which I do not have. Installed on a Athalon 1700 with 256mb memory flawlessly, never had a prob with logitech drivers.

Works perfectly fine here on a WinXP Pro/AthlonXP system. Logitech has a new program out (Logitech IM Video) that works with this app/driver combo. The IM Video program did not work with the previous 6.x drivers.
