Hey Gogale.. check this out from adobe:
Effective November 15, 2003, Adobe will no longer distribute LiveMotion 2.0. Though Adobe has decided to concentrate its efforts in other areas, we want to thank our loyal LiveMotion customers for their support. Adobe will maintain person-to-person technical support for LiveMotion until March 31, 2004. In addition, complimentary technical support will be available until further notice via the Adobe Support Knowledgebase and User to User Forums on the Adobe Web site.

ok. Sure it's better than version 5 - and I'd love to say it was a big improvement but it isn't.
A lot of the annoyances of 5 are still and there aren't that many new features - anyone else really disappointed that there is not support for databases still?
I've been developing websites for 6 years and using flash on and off since it was called futuresplash (before macromedia bought it!)
The interface is still poor from a scripting/.developers point of view and for new users it's just far too confusing
for users' grasp the whole symbol metaphor)
For me I think livemotion 2 is the way to go, much more flexibility and it seems much more easy to use

I have used FLASH since version 3 but now that Livemotion 2 has come out I will never use it again
I tried the MX version but it lacks anything new that I have use for. The new features may benefit some developers but only a minor few.
I have been in the web/it business for 8 years and I can tell if a product is worth it's liscensing fees in comparison with it's competitors. For me it's Livemotion 2 for myself and my employees as far as flash content goes.
1. shorter learning curve in LM2
2. Better integration with PhotoShop and Illustrator
3. OK I could go on and on but I am bored............

I guess your nick, xenophobe, says a lot about your posts too... Flash is a standard on the internet. If you don't know anything about design on the web you shouldn't be rating things either. Flash is just like… say an image format or… a programming language (did I say that Flash actually has its own, called action scripting?)... Anyway, what am I trying to prove? Your post just shows that you are a complete idiot (aka lamer). Too bad you cannot edit your post now, because you just made a fool out of yourself for the whole web to laugh at... Enjoy your "fame". :D
