Publisher's Description
Mail Forward allows you to forward mail from AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, MSN, Netscape, and Yahoo web mail accounts to any e-mail address. Standard POP and IMAP e-mail accounts can also be forwarded. Mail can be forwarded for up to 20 separate accounts. For each account, a forwarding address can be specified or a default destination can be used. It works by accessing your e-mail account Inbox and forwarding each piece of mail through your SMTP mail server. Mail that is successfully forwarded can either be deleted from the forwarding account mailbox or left on the server. The forwarding account address is used as the return address for the forwarded mail, so if the mail is undeliverable it will be returned to the forwarding account. A built-in scheduling feature allows mail to be forwarded automatically at a specified time interval.

It appears they've worked out all the kinks with Hotmail, finally. One account I have hasn't been accessible via Mail Forward for ages. Now it is.
As always a solid piece of software. Some say the cost isn't worth it but I tried other programs and was never happy. I don't regret purchasing this software at all. I've used it since somewhere in 2002.

They've updated along the way. With the 4.0.2 release they've once again made it compatible with Windows Live Mail. Of course old Hotmail, MSN, AOL, Gmail, Yahoo and POP accounts are supported, as well.
There are free alternatives out there but to be honest this program is pretty simple. No real thinking involved and it works.

I can't recommend that you pay money for this program when it doesn't do anything that many other programs do for free.
More importantly, Mail Forward has a tendency to choke on large mailboxes, at least on my machine.

Does not forward Hotmail any longer. Other free programs like eprompter still work to retrieve Hotmail but don't forward. Just BEWARE if Hotmail is your email. Works ok with Yahoo webmail and POP3 accounts.

not all that useful given that there are packages to allow one to retrieve one's free webmail via any POP3/IMAP client
this program would be great if it fetched email AS WELL AS had the forwarding feature
