If your computer is rather obsolete I cant help but suggest you Free Windows as operating system. It runs pretty good on such computers. Web site http://free-windows.com

Work flawlessly with 32 bit apps, no more problems with drivers.
The first 64-bit OS from MS that is really ready for mainstream.

Have been running windows 7 32bit for a few weeks know (Awaiting 64bit). Works great with all my software for work (One Software issue). Has more stability then vista and the ease of XP and takes less resources to run. Thank You Microsoft

Now it's time to put XP to rest, WIN7 is all XP was and a whole lot more.

Keep it up MS.

What, the UAC is still on? I've spent one hour with this slick OS and have yet to see the need to disable or configure much of anything. Kudos MS, you may have made up for all the disappointment and heartache.

It's nice, not something I'm use to saying with respect to Microsoft. Been using XP SP3 32bit for last year, and ubuntu before that, but it looks like w7 is gonna be my new os for a while. It's clean, organized, and manageable, although it does take some getting use to. The menu bar is a distinct evolution in design once you make it over the learning curve. Still has a few wrinkles but nothing to get worked up over. Well done ms. If you're using linux, give it a try; xp, dual boot; vista, immediately download.
