NetMeter is a customizable network bandwidth monitoring program for Windows. It includes a customizable graph window which can react to mouse movement by fading in or out. The graph window can be made 'transparent' for mouse inputs so clicks get passed on to underlying control elements.

I have tried all the other net meters, and this is m favorite by far. The size and resource usage, the single EXE file, and the elegant appearance are the reason I like it. I've been using it on XP, Win7, and Vista for years, and never encountered a problem. I'm a little leery it's going open source, because you never know what you'll get. I'll give it a try, but my expectations will be low. My rating is for the pervious build.

No problems with this latest version, which has actually been available for months. Running under Win 7 32 & 64 bit.

From reading their forum, this is quite buggy. Stick with Networx. It worx :D
They instantly squash any bugs. It is the best and free.

Netmeter 1.1.4, is a great tool for letting you know how much you have used. I had this meter on my last two computers. I recently got a new one, with windows 7. However i could not get it to work, i tried quite a few sites, to download it. Then i found, www.megaupload.com , for some reason, i downloaded it from this site, and it works perfect. This meter is one of the best, i am not into everything that the computer does, all ineed is the basics. And if you like both, then this is the one for you.

Networx is better and free. The ability to sync with other pc's on the network is fantastic

Huh? 1.1.4 came out nearly a year ago. Even this page says "August 9, 2009".

Anyway, best of type I'd say (free or otherwise).

Great tool.

Only feature I would like to see (and I think DuMeter has it): averaging of the DL and UL values over a period the user can choose. Should be fairly easy to implement.

DKDude: You can get rid of the graph by vertically downsizing the NetMeter window.
It also helps to turn off the caption bar.

GREAT tool, but I would *LOVE* if it was possible to disable the graph, the numbers are enough for me, and a little bar would fit better on my screen.

Edit: @ manogamez
Sounds GREAT, I'll try it right now, THANKS!

Edit2: :-) It's just what I was looking for, yet again THANKS!
