I used this years ago. Symantec's products have always been crap. I will never use their products again. Now they and several other companies have decided to drop support for the NRA after being pressured by groups that want the second amendment abolished
This is essentially giving the middle finger to millions of LEGAL gun owners. Here is the middle finger back to them. I would rate this a ZERO if it were possible

Does what it is suppose to do. Is lean on system resources these days.
Easy to configure and setup types of scans to do when you want and scans downloads and can be setup to scan downloads in most other programs ie WinRar. It is also very fast.
In your Norton account you can deactivate the license and transfer it.
Download from your Norton Account to setup. Very useful with multiple licenses.
Are also eligible for other tools that can only get when you have a Norton Account from buying a Norton Product.
As with all AV programs these days you need to run a anti-malware program ie: Malwarebytes or some other as nothing catches everything anymore. It is compatible to Malwarebytes.
For a very good and respected Anti-Virus program it is highly recommended to use.

I'm not sure what version of Norton that the "One-stars" are using, but my 2013 copy of Norton 360 works very well indeed. It's slim on resources, gets spam email to the junk box efficiently and the warning about unsafe software downloads can be easily overridden in Windows 7 and 8.1. I highly recommend Norton.

There was a time when Norton was ok but it was in the days of Windows 95/98 and since then it has been a piece of annoying virus software and useless too.

It's like a virus that you can't get rid of. I had to reinstall an operating system because of that where it killed my OS trying to uninstall it. They dictate to you what software is acceptable to run and what isn't in accordance to the RIAA and copyright laws as well.

Crapware. It is almost impossible to figure out how to have it let you install programs it thinks are threats, that you know are not. It's a bloated mess and has been for years. If I had a nickle for everyone I've helped get this junk off their computer I could buy symantic

crapware most of the computer repairs I do Have Nortons on them when they come in all virused out. Any good review you see here is done by the manufacturer

After a good tryout, I'm sticking with Norton AV 2013 for the next six months which I got for free.
Norton significantly increases start-up time but once loaded seems to run very lightly and has minimal impact on resources. It has a nice new Metro-like interface. Constant updates.
Most reputable test sites rate Norton very highly - usually in the top 3 AV's.

Norton has become a shadow of itself. It has become a very annoying piece of software wich I don't wanna pay a single coin for at all. And I can't give any rating at all because they don't deserve it. but anyway I have to rate or no review. I give 1 only because I then can post my review.
