I have tried this and the updated 1.9.0.589 version as well and I agree with the poster before me, it is only for very experienced users who can fix the registry after wrong delete.
It failed to delete some registry keys I ticked, but even worse, it looks like it deleted some keys I didn’t select for removal. The result was a catastrophe. It took me long time to rebuild my Windows.
Most developer states that their registry cleaner is the safest, a thing we should believe reservedly.
It’s a substandard registry cleaner in the state of development and was released for testing purposes as the help menu reveals.
The tragedy is they have the same in the payee version JV16.

Worked great, must switch to advanced view then get to see whats going on.
Cleaned out and backed up 700+ registry events.
I would recommend program but only for experienced users that can deal with Registry entries and what a wrong delete can do to a system.
Overall fast, quick, does the job.

Macecraft has finally come around with a lite version of JV16 series of tools. Being freeware this will appeal to all that used RegCleaner many years ago.
I have just installed and backed up a copy of my registry for WinXP SP3. No issues or problems running PowerTools Lite, even as a RC1B level program. Be sure to check for updates after installing under Help.
