Publisher's Description
Purge Firefox is a utility specifically designed for users of the popular Firefox browser for removing the surfing tracks retained by Firefox and Windows. It lets you easily protect the Cookies you want to keep and quickly delete the rest. It optionally displays a list of the items it deletes and provides a 'Preview' function to let you determine the items that would be deleted by the 'Purge' function.

Oh how hilarious! Not only does Firefox not do what PurgeFox does (and I wouldn't expect it to), I don't know of any application that does.
Hint: It isn't just for Firefox. See what happens when changelings rate software without even using it first?

Hmmm, Firefox can secure erase, handle MSIE cookies/history/etc, and supports plugins to delete files/text file contents/registry keys/values from any application? And Firefox can selectively delete some of its own cookies, rather than blocking them entirely, to enhance site compatibility without compromising privacy? This I did not know.

FireFox already does this (at least from version 1.5) it can automatically clear your tracks on exit..

It does what it is supposed to do, but $21.95 for a tool that basically does for one application what CCleaner does for dozens of applications for free? Some of the advanced functions like secure erase are nice but unnecessary for the average user. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Does of great job of erasing everything, but best of all is its intuitive setup to manage cookies and retain files you want.

Actually, PurgeIE Pro (the author's other product) does more, but this is top-notch stuff, too.
Rating this product down because of the existence of some crappy freebie is idiotic. I'm sick of that kind of nonsense.
Besides, PurgeFox isn't just for "one application". It's actually much more flexible than the beloved CCleaner: It lets you easily create your own "plugins". This lets you specify any file, folder, registry value, registry key you want. You can also delete specific lines from a text file, or elements from an XML file.

This is the ultimate Internet tracks eraser for both Internet Explorer and FireFox. It does it all! You can secure delete up to 99 passes, it has cookies management, you can delete the index.dat files in Internet Explorer, run your own plugins (many already available or you can make your own). GUI is straight and to the point. You can even display the results of all function performed by the purge function. Never a freeze or BSOD and excellent customer support.
I've tried them all and PurgeFox performs well above the rest.
