It's not that confusing, you just fret the guitar string where it shows a dot on the scale diagram and hey presto your playing solos in key. You just have to learn the pattern of dots then move then up and down the fretboard to play in different keys. This tool was submitted sometime ago but has only recently appeared on fileforum. Expect a very different release in the near future: tablature searching and viewing, soundshed.com integration.

hmm not sure how this is supposed to work:
first point: Right handed fretboard only, nothing for people who play guitar the "right" way (eg left-handed) :)
secondly, all it appears to do, is show a fretboard with dozens of notes of it, It's incredibly confusing to start with and I'm not sure how it's supposed to teach you anything.
other than showing the fretboard with options for various tunings, I don't see how this offers anything that I can't get from a couple of web sites with chord tutorials on them. In fact many of the guitar tutorials I've seen have significantly more in them - like sound for instance, so you can hear what your notes should sound like.
really sorry to say, because someone's spend a lot of time on this, but I think it's worthless as it is right now.
