PC's need to stay on 24-7. Reboot is too slow

You'd think that if the authors wanted to better indicate that it is to be used only with XP or Vista, then perhaps updating the gui a little bit from its Windows 98 looks would really help.
Seems to work as advertised...

To clear up the confusion about platforms - if you visit the author's web site, it clearly reads that this utility works on XP and Vista platforms only. As has happened numerous times in the past, it seems THIS website got the applicable platforms wrong when they posted the utility. So, if you are running 9X or even 2000, don't waste your time...

Just FYI, I'm not sure about previous versions, but upon attempting to install v5.1 on an older Windows 98SE system, I got the message that it was for Windows XP and Vista ONLY. This will NOT work with Windows 9x.

Simple yet very effective. This is what MS Defrag should be going all along.

I can only recommend one utility to defrag an hard drive, individual folders or individual files, that is the defrag tool found at http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Contig.html (now owned by microsoft) as this is the fastest and is free, now as the tool is a cmd line utility you can also get a GUI enhancement for the tool, called Power Defragmenter from the following location http://www.excessive-software.eu.tt/

Certainly not a fancy package, but it works very well. It acts as an add-on to XP's default defragmentor. Can't say how it will work on your system.

Fine for XP

The previous version needed supervision to run and this version means you have to re-install 98 SE as it wipes files and you cannot access add / remove to uninstall it

They don't bother to answer any tech queries

Does what it says on the tin. I've had problems with defrag being constantly restarted for quite a while, even with anti-virus software disabled, but this little beauty solved the problems at a stroke. It's not exciting stuff, but it does the job.
