The program is an improvement of the calculator component with a clean interface and relatively small codesize.

Main advantages:
- parses formulae (keyboard is much easier to use than buttons)
- support for user-defined variables and functions

It would be nice if it could be extended to offer precise arithmetic for integers/fractions exceeding the range of a pocket calculator (13! should be 6227020800 instead of 6.2270208e+9).

I swear by deskcalc but it is simply not free. Hexelon Max6 is and is THE BEST calc, for free, I have ever found (total commander plugin addon). It's all portable, including windows built in calc.

I have used this in the past and it's a decent calculator. There is a portable version and source code available. I have long since discovered SpeedCrunch, also portable...so far nothing can touch it.

Good attempt. Not to take away credit from the author's contribution, but why ? Have you guys seen the builtin calculator in Windows 7...?

Unless this comes up with something compelling that can shadow Windows 7 calc.exe, pretty soon will end up as yac (yet another calculator)
