Publisher's Description
Throttle is a tool for all that allows you to modify your modem settings to increase internet performance up to 200% or higher. No modifications to your hardware are made and all adjustments and settings are done in an easy to use interface. It has been tried and tested and proven to work. Whether you use a 14.4/28.8/33.6/56k modem, cable modem, or DSL modem, it will boost your Internet connection speed. It will modify your modem settings to handle those annoying disconnections and hang-up's so they happen less often.

ABSOLUTE useless if you use connections via DSL

We test the difference- before and after this software. Our DSL speed was NOT faster, same trafficspeed ....this Throttle software is absolute nonsense and nobody need it - sorry but this is fact.

Useless. Does work to a point, but utterly useless otherwise. Use Dr. Salman's HyperNet or CableNut instead.

Is there still some faction of people out there that believes making a few registry changes is going to increase their internet connection speeds by as much as 200%?

This is CrippleWare! Only the most basic service is provided without first having nag screen popup telling you must purchase for full support. You know i didn't do that! I would never purchase anything from a company that uses nag's & crippleware tactics. The ONLY purpose for the frequent updates is for hack prevention not feature/secrity addons or updates. This prog is very basic, not very good, and not feature rich at all. I would suggest trying other freeware progs that really do provide a plethora of rich features FREE! That is value. Try Xteq X-Setup 6.3 or other such progs at this site.

I notice indeed some difference in speed and downloading. What puzzles me, though, is why there are so many updates. Every 4 days or so there's an update available - it's driving me crazy! I assume they are improving it each time but isn't it better to save all the small bugs and new features and release an update once in let's say 2 months?
