READ:

Really don't understand these people, suppose they just don't wonna say something bad since that would maybe lower the morale of the authors, this is a very hard genre to begin with.

I love all kinds of strategy games and play them all the time. Trash has both ugly animations, boring gameplay, stiff textures and as far as i have understood; no soundtrack. It must be the worst RTS game ever made. I have played this for several hours and i have to say it never gets fun or thrilling. I was schocked with how different the two races are, that's a plus. But the problem with that is that it isn't balanced one bit. Believe me, i have nothing against any of the authors of Trash, but i wouldn't want this game even if it was free, it would make a shame having amongst all other titles.

One game; I.G.I 2, i gave away to a friend since it simply isn't high standard enough to be amongst any other game-boxes. I'm not even a hardcore gamer, but i sure don't have any lack of dignity for these wonderful ways of wasting time.

Love it. Has a great creator and the game play is great. I would rate this as the second best RTS ever. I won't say who came in first.

Trash. What a c**p name for a game i think, as i look through Gamespots beta center. Still, its in beta, its a RTS, and only 20Mbs, (20Mb, must be rubbish) so i download it and give it go.

Trash is a multiplayer based RTS game developed by a 2 man team under the name Inhuman Games. There is something about RTS titles that the moment that just make you want to disregard the lot of them, thay are just all the same. But, this is different. It brings beck the feel of GOOD RTS games, like StarCraft, Warcraft 2, Red Alert etc. There was very little luck involved in those games; it was mainly about who has the most knowledge and who played the game better. Most games like this have been replaced in favor of RPG elements and unneeded “game play enhancement” features.

But Trash is different. It brings back all the good features of a RTS game, sticks it all in 3D and adds rich gameplay with a easy learning curve and yet a feeling of deep gameplay.

Trash” is set in a post apocalyptic land where humans and mutants battle for the world’s last building resource “Trash”. Humans need trash to arm their huts, make their troops etc. Mutants need a resorce called people to make their units etc. but it all revolves around trash.
To upgrade your units instend of making a "library" or something like that, you build one building one 1 site that does 1 upgrade. Theses sites(metal, toxic and gas), are spread around the map and to get more upgrades, you need to find them and keep them. The best thing about these upgrades this that you can share them with your teammates, which means that units can get overpowered to a drastic extreme. for example, flamebikes, a human units, starts off eith a range of 1.5 and a damage of 12. This, IF your teamworks together, in big games could be upgraded to have a range of 30 and a damage of 75!! this leaves your units with a massave destructive capacity. which leaves you feeling just freaking awesome, with your units smashing your way through enemy bases destroying all.

Some orignal features in the game is that all your buildings have to be connected by pipes, to share resorces and power. if you get to greedy and take to much land early on, your suppy lines can get exposed and you can get cut off from your ourpost. Also, all buildings require power, which makes it vital to protect your windmills or power plants, otherwise if they are destryed, you are useless.
Another good orignal feature in the game is that destroyed units drop trash and sometimes a resorce site. which means you are never short of trash. Also, if a attack goes badly, you can end up leaving a resorce site in their base, which make their units more powerful

But i have gone on long enough. This is one of the best RTS games i have ever played, and anyone who like RTS game will like this. So Click here to download the beta while its still running. It will be worth it. I have only touched the surface on how good this game is.

(P.S. this is the first preview i have ever written, feedback would be great.)

Awesome game! Dont be fooled by the graphics, me and all my buddies became instant addicts to this game, and it's not even finished yet! Very engaging gameplay, and it definately is a good representation of what a RTS should and can be. It's great to see such a well made independant game coming out. TRY IT!

this is an addictive rts in my opinion. the graphics may not be great, but the gameplay rocks. The life span is good. I have played over 100 multiplayer games and im still playing away. The multiplayer is in a class of its own.up to 24 players shared upgrades. Most units can be put in use if u can play the game right. I would recomend this to multiplayer rts fans.

The game really isn't that hard to pick up, in fact I got a friend to play his very first game online w/ me (against a bot) but he actually held his own. I'm a fan of the RTS genre, and I've had more fun playing this than StarCraft (blasphemy, I know...)

Like the description says, the real focus is on multiplayer games. How many RTS games out there let you give researched techs to your teammates? How many let you have at it with 24 other players at once? Seriously, there's great fun to be had.

There have been alot of improvements over the past 2.5 years, and for an indy game with a dev team of 3, the graphics aren't too shabby. Also, the top 10 spots on the leaderboard (out of 240 listed)are currently held by beta testers.

Oh, my copy of the Beta 2 installation dates from 2/18/03, so I know where I'm coming from on this too. The sheer amount of time I spend playing and reading the forums have got to say something about the fun to be had...

Best of all, it's a mere 20MB download. What have you got to lose?

I tested the beta a LONG time ago...
Hell i still have the Beta installer...and the original e-mail dated 2/22/2003.

I tried it...the graphics seemed like Dark Rein...maybe somewhere in between Dark Reign and Command and Conquer Generals.

The game itself is "eh"...
First off I stink at strategy games. SO maybe I'm a little biased here...but i really enjoyed Starcraft and C&C Generals.

The units are really wierd and the attacking mechanisms are fair. Its hard as hell to pick up...the creators were owning in the beta games since they knew how to play of course.
Its like certain units are good to build while others are completely crap. And when you think you have a good force you actually dont and get wiped out.

Instead of mining MINERALS you mine trash...it wasnt very fun.

I dont really recommend the game...
