Pros: I downloaded the free version of UnhackMe a month or so ago. I was having computer issues that no other similar program could identify. I contacted the team and they worked with me for several days until I could resolve the issue. I have not had this prompt, consistent nor meticulous assistance from any other computer maintenance program before. Due to that, I purchased the program.

Cons: I can sing the praises of this product and its company but even in that and to me, this program and it's additional programs take a bit of getting used to. I do wish that the program was more simplified and all of the supportive programs flowed easily together.

Bottom Line: Happy with this product and the professional response I received from this company.

Pros: A great option to have if only just using Defender, even good option to have if using Malwarebytes. UnHackMe caught a remnant left behind of a bad piece of malware I had gotten that an install of Avast, and its offline scan got. If I had had UnHackMe from the start I'm sure it would have caught it also, all of it. Defender missed the malware, and Malwarebytes (paid version) also missed it. UnHackMe does also have a pre-boot scan option. It's not truly realtime protection with UnHackMe, but something halfway in between, and you can set how often to monitor your system, as well as scan. For me I set to every 10 minutes of monitor and 25 hours for scan.

Cons: UnHackMe does give a lot of false positives initially, this is not for the novice user. Once you tell it it's a false positive it will remember in future. However, it does NOT play well with like Spywareblaster immunization for either Chrome or Edge. Each new update immunization gets flagged. I ended up getting rid of Spywareblaster, being its Chrome and Edge browser immunization is minimal anyway. UnHackMe basically flags every new browser addon as well, up to you to determine if safe. It also flags a separate installation folder of WinPatrol on first scan or monitor hit. For some reason each new auto update of this software unchecks the coinminer protection (via Hosts file) in its options, kinda annoying.

Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend for an advanced user as a second option. IMO better than Defender or Malwarebytes for scanning and catching at least.

Actually I install everything I review on here & always have - One thing people should be aware of is unlike Mbam there is no free trail & no free version either, on install you are immediately greeted with a large garish banner asking for $34.00 with a special offer for 2 PC's at the same cost.

After scanning the program found 'WinPatrol' as malicious & it certainly isn't, the program however does come with an uninstaller though, (did you install it Pkshadow?) but adds 2 run entries on startup - Prefer Mbam & as I fix PC's for a living I've seen just about all the malware there is around - Free ADW Cleaner along with free Mbam & TDS cleaner will find just about all there is.

This program is not highly rated on here though the author gave it 5 stars - To be fair I will not review it again.

I agree with the author that you have to use the program to write a review and also even if have MBAM and a good AV program things slip through that should not and you will need any and all resources to kick it out and that might not be enough to get back to normal.
With no uninstaller 4 stars.

UnHackMe will NOT un-install it keeps asking me to register (send money) and It keeps starting up with windows ..... I can not remove it

I hope this software will continue to improve. I like the concept but in my system I found myself in an endless loop of reboots trying to delete a file that UnHackMe said was not on my machine.. I found much of the documentation hard to follow. The translation is in need of fine tuning.

As far as I can tell once a file called "MCHINJDRV.SYS" was once on my machine and was in the autorun section of my registry. UnHackMe repeatedly found the entry in my registry and tried to delete the file even though it was not physically on my system. perhaps I misunderstood but I was repeatedly directed to reboot my system to remove the threat that repeatedly was reported not found....

Any way Good luck to the development team. I hope you can refine this program so that it is more anglo-friendly and fool-usable.

This program caused so many problems for my machine its unreal!
First of all, when I tried to uninstall it via add/remove, it wouldn't do it!
Secondly, when I tried to search for it manually, it wouldn't show up anywhere! I found out that it was a hidden folder!? Why would this be a hidden app let alone the entire folder?

I am running Vista 64bit and it was fine until I got this program, it took me 8 hours of multiple rollbacks to get my system back to semi-normal state.

Don't use this junk. You'll regret it.

Garbage. Convoluted interface and operation. I rebooted and let it do its thing, and it presented me with a dire message that was cut off so I couldn't even read the whole thing. The only option was to "Fix It", but it didn't give me a clue what the hell that would actually do, so of course I didn't trust it.

It's either because your keyboard is an alien spacecraft with useless software integration, or your keyboard is wireless and you told UnHackMe to disable the usb wi-ware.

It killed my keyboard! I actually had to do a system restore to get it to work again. It said I had an AFX(Aphex?) rootkit so I killed it. That killed the keyboard. Since I'm the last one to be an expert on rootkits I honestly don't know where the problem was so I will give it a 3.

This application should be required on all PC's...Found a rootkit right away and destroyed it. The process was quick and painless and the help files explained how it defends you from the different types if rootkits. These guys will be recieving a 20 dollar bill from me.

This is just a quick note to say how VERY impressed I am with this program.
In a word it is SUPERB... a typical Dmitry Sokolov product.
Not only is it a breeze to install and configure - it completely removes the fear I've had for sometime: how do I prevent a rootkit infestation?
Now UnHackMe has solved the problem for me - in a brilliant and elegant way.

can you tell me how you can get rid easily of rootkits, that most AV and other security progs not even recognize.

I think its a VERY important addition to ones security and knowing Greatis it will get better and better (like their famous RegRun)

To be able to get protection of these new threat I only know Process guard and that's not for free either

Unhackme does what it is designed to do. Users would much rather see 'your infected' or 'your not infected' than to see up to thousands of entries to go through if you using KAV because of it ADS. Unhack me is quick and easy doing what it says and now also monitors without manual scanning with version 2. Also you can look at this and see what some are doing to get around RootkitRevealer

no download link. The only link I see is for a 10 execurions trial. Is the version here more then a 10 day trial? I would never call a program that only offeres 10 executions a Beta.

Those are spyware/adware removers,not really trojan/rootkit removers.

This app is ok,if you tend to get infected alot,and/or are a novice user.Otherwise,the more knowledgable users will do it the harder,but free way.
