I became addicted to eSnips within minutes. It's the best way yet that I have found for easily pulling together in one place anything I might need for a project. I love the way it snips entire web pages. File and folder management are a breeze. If offered at a reasonable price, this is something for which I would have no problem paying. It's definitely a productivity booster.
To the person who had the image problem, be certain you selected the option to transfer it in its original form. It sounds as it you did not unselect the option to reduce its size for faster loading and less storage space.

It seems to be very good.
Although data files seem to be shared without any problems I put a 3Mb .bmp file up for sharing and it reduced it to a very poor resolution of 73k. When I applied the file to PSP it reported that the file was invalid.

If you can make use of this kind of service then this is the best of them all.
The only other competing product is Yahoo! My Web 2.0 beta...and eSnips is much much better than it.
The only hope I have for the future with this product is that you one could maybe store their IE favorites as backup on their service.

Awesome!
this is Flickr on steroids...
Forget having different services for different stuff (Flickr for your photo's, YouTube for your video's etc.).
The guys at eSnips understood that we need one place for all our stuff.
They give you 1 gigabyte for free (no bandwidth limitation) and you can upload anything you like and share it with all of us.
This is a Sure Winner,
thanks eSnips!

Awesome idea - and lots of potential....
But... it wouldn't work for me.
The application perpetually crashes. I can't upload anything with it.
The IE toolbar it installs in also completely unresponsive.
I can upload single files via the website... which is a total pain in the a$$. The website - at least - also has a 10MB limit per file.
Crashlogs sent to developer for evaluation.

Very cool.
(Maybe this time around such a service will not go the way of those created during the dot-com boom, and later went bust. I had to hustle like the d***ens to retrieve some stuff from one or two very similar services that went belly-up a few years back.)

one problem: I cannot connect to server, seems it doesn't support proxy servers. I never found where to enter the settings for proxy.

To rjohanson: I am wondering if we are on the same Internet when I read your post and review of this service: EVERY internet service that provides a free offering bases its revenues from ads. How else do you want a company to sustain 1GB of FREE storage for tons of users?
I love this service, the one 1gig space is great and you also have this very simple to use sharing stuff. They just added a toolbar for firefox and seem to just do everything right. I really don't get you!

To rjohanson: Its not adware, they are not displaying ads in the software but on the website. Nothing wrong with displaying ads on the website plus they are ads by Net Snippets, the company that owns this software. Infact Net Snippets itself is a very good program thats lets you save information and store web pages on the computer. eSnips is a step forward and its great. I just uploaded 230 Family Photos to be shared with my family. In my opinion its better than flickr for private sharing.

horsecharles could you name these FREE larger unlimited bandwidth sites? I'm so used to people running their mouths off about better products. How bout for once, you actually prove it.
This program works for everything I need. I can upload files to it that I'd like quick and easy access to, anyway....this includes but it's limited to pictures, music and software.
