k.. this is the last version of this program I'm ever gonna try..
it does still after years.. mess up my Hauppauge drivers.. its SUPPOSED to support it both with the native drivers and others but in the last .. oh 3 years or so.. I've NEVER gotten this program to work properly across 4 diffrence machines and 3 diffrent kinds of hauppauges and 3 diffrent versions of windows..
so.. i.. give up.. for those that it DOES work for.. im sure its good..

@cginzel - If you've never used the program why are you even bothering to comment?
This program doesn't claim to be a PVR, it also isn't a 12MB download, and doesn't do useless things like display photos, play MP3 files, and all the rest of that rubbish.
This program is designed to capture video using a codec of your choice from an input, be it a tuner or capture card. It can apply various filters to input, apart from the included ones it can use any DirectShow filters also.
I've found this to be the best program for transferring video from tape to disc using my tuner/capture card. Other programs, (VirtualDub included), just seemed to stop or not even start for no apparent reason.

I've have not used this software and from looking at the features it does seem fairly powerful (so i will rank it a 5 respectively), but i can't help but say that the free GBPVR software i use now beats this one hands down (see http://gbpvr.com/)

this has a conflict with my ATI -VE card, I have the same problem as below. Have to remove and reinstall drivers to get the card to work again.
The GuI is horrible, the idea is good but I cant really say one good thing about it...

I use it since one year. Never had problems, but i had bad system-wide problems with _similar_ programs! I use iuvcr to watch TV as well. I really like the interface. You can 'Disable Preview' so TV get's out of your way, but you can still acces the program itself with ALT-TAB. Good Keyboard acces overall. Recording works flawless with ffdshow. Have trouble finding a matching audio codec though (cpu trouble, then some...). So i use PCM WAV and convert it afterwards with virtualdub. I don't say that it's Iuvcr's fault, but i guess it could be better in that part to help me out. my video card has an 88x chip.

This IMO is the best, I use it all the time to record TV programs with my MSI TV@nywhere Master card in whatever vid compression I choose (XVID, HuffYUV for lossless, etc.). Beats WinDVR off the map for its freedom on controlling how you want Video/Audio compressed (or not).

Great software. I've paid for it. Use it. Works marvelously.

It installs, runs but no sound from any of the audio inputs selectable. It also disables my ATI TV PCI and I have to reinstall the MMC drivers to get my TV monitor to work again. I think it needs some work, but the idea is great!

This program has potential, but if you are going to pay for a program I strongly recommend Intervideo WinDVR. It has everything Tivo has, with no monthly fees, many compression choices, and stable software.

I can't really say either way. It just crashes on my computer.
I have an AverTV Studio card.

Probably the only semi-decent WDM capture program currently available.
However, it can't maintain proper audio-sync since it uses the standard DirectShow FilterGraph, which makes it a dealbreaker.
