Publisher's Description
xacc.ide is a opensource IDE aimed at mainly .NET development. It has a code editor written in 100% C# code, which is faster than most commercial offerings. Has support for various languages including, but not limited to, C#, IL, C/C++, Yacc, Flex, NSIS and XML. Includes easily configurable build support for any executable. For .NET based languages, it contains an integrated debugger (dependent on .NET SDK). Only requires .NET framework, but .NET SDK is recommended as well as MS VC++ toolkit.

Thanks :) I am the author, but I am not really sure who submits to Betanews, but someone does, and I thank that kind soul :)
I will see if I can rectify the link.

Somebody accidentally (well I doubt that, but I'll give that somebody the benefit of doubt :) ) didn't put xacc.ide in the download link but instead synk90.exe which is synkronizer 9.0, an excel sheet comparer. Shareware and crap :)
So to download xacc.ide you will need to go to the main website of course.

WORST IDE I have ever seen. Do not try it. It´s waste of time.

How does it compare to MonoDevelop.com, the open source IDE for .NET development?

I have emailed with the developer on this and he is extremely responsive! I like the direction this is going - things often seem unusable when we don't take the time to find out how they work...It is dissapointing when developer's get bashed for hard work - it takes a lot of guts to put your software out there - I guess that is something "ranasrule" knows nothing about.
I can see bashing a spammer or a spyware developer trying to slipstream adware onto your system in the guise of a good product but that's it - for those who are such whiners, get a life!
Keep up the great work! Thanks for the help on the font's!

utterly unusable

Nice effort, it's going to be fun to watch this. Since it's 100% C#, anyone know if it runs on Mono?
Also check out MonoDevelop.

He's adding some cool things to this. I might be tempted to reinstall the .net framework on my main computer in the future.

Nice. Works and looks promising.
OpenSource part has some problems but what does one expect from a beta ^^

twanj, I have learned to check the author's site before downloading anything directly from BetaNews. In this case, the author was aware that 0.1.2 was DOA and posted 0.1.2.1 the same day. Although it now "works" in the sense that it "runs," this program is every bit as incomplete as the version number would imply. I think the author is trying to accomplish too much right away. Although he claims highlight support for 24 languages (obviously including some obscure ones), he admits that AutoCorrect is unfinished due to the difficulty of supporting many languages. He also boasts about "pretty new graphics." I like cool graphics as much as the next guy, but PRIORITIES should be the key word at this stage. Otherwise, this program is never going to reach maturity. As it stands, it's a nice demonstration but too buggy for real use. For a free .NET IDE, SharpDevelop still has little competition.

Thanks! The newer build on their site installs & runs. Looks pretty neat & should be interesting to watch it mature.
