At the moment this tool doesn't work for me. I reads all addons and shows them in the Management area but it fails to contact the update server for a list of new versions.

It's very easy to limit µTorrents bandwidth utilization in the preferences. ADSL allways needs a bit upstream left to send ACK packages during download. Simply limit your upstream a bit and you'll experience perfection!
