You can find plenty of free programs to monitor any managed router or switch which use SNMP. CDP is a very poor choice to monitor a Cisco device and also has some vulnerbilities.

These drivers are awesome! I was experiencing some chitter with my screen which I was thinking might be my monitor, but after installing the Omega drivers it is gone and I have loads of tweaks to go with it.
