I purchased the software for 2 PCs $54. On my credit card statement I got an additional charge for $89 had to argue with several people who didn't speak good English. Now I am waiting for a refund that I might get in 2 to 3 weeks. Stay away from these guys. I will never buy from them again!

I stopped using AVG products some time ago, even the free versions, because they are bloat ware. I don't see any improvement with this thing. In addition as music said, $65.00 for a one year, one PC license? Somehow I don't think so.

This program will slow 'any' PC down, this is unnecessary & a major drawback for this AV & they don't seem to be addressing this ongoing issue.
The price of UK £40.00 (including tax) for one PC for one year takes some believing - That's US $64.86 if your over the pond - Crazy price - The actual download is around 130Meg + 50Meg for the latest sigs.

better than the 2010. Very expensive, no family pack.
They also expect you to pay for the system tune up they include with the product, very deceiving!
Slowed my system down.
I would not pay for this. I will stick with Norton 2011.

I had the 'much touted' Norton Internet Security suite that was supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread. I used it just long enough to suffer most of the problems that are mentioned here (as pertaining to AVG 9.0) and switched to AVG. I have suffered nothing like what has been said in these reviews and I think 9.0 is great.

If the false positives are not bad enough, I also found that AVG slows down my computer by about 40%. On bootup it now takes my laptop an extra 90 seconds because of the AVG firewall. This firewall also slows down both my IE and Firefox browsers. Once I disabled the AVG and went back to using the Windows firewall I noticed a tremendous improvement in the speed and performance of both browsers. I can safely say that once my subscription runs out. I wil be dumping this and putting in either Kaspersky AV 2010 or Norton 2010.

Protection is absolutley abysmal. On several tech forums I post to, virtually everyone who is getting infected is running AVG 8. AVG have been trading on a reputation they've long since failed to deserve.
