I like this program & very useful for ripping DVD's to watch while I'm mobile - Although HandBrake that I use in Linux does a good job too & is gratis.

My weapon if choice. Over 300 rips to DIVX. HP EX 495 to PS3 then 50 inch Panasonic.

Like its sister product CloneDVD, CloneDVD Mobile has not gotten any major enhancements from Slysoft in over 2 years which is unacceptable for a 39.00 euro product. You can check the changelog if you don't believe me.
The program itself is buggy and sloppily coded. For example, choose the vob passthrough option and you will see the reencoding options screen (!) for a split second. The reencoding options screen shouldn't be displayed at all because vob passthrough does not reencode the vobs.
Also, the program is not very customizable with regards to settings. There are no options to disable the annoying sounds or have the preview window automatically play the video.
It's main competitor, DVDFab (with Mobile Option), is a far better product and has lots of features CloneDVD Mobile doesn't have like automatic black bar cropping (for getting rid of those pesky black bars) and easy converting to wav and mp3 (so you can listen to your concert DVDs on your iPod).
If Slysoft bothered to update CloneDVD Mobile they could probably give DVDFab (with Mobile Option) a run for its money. But in its current state, CloneDVD Mobile is handily beaten by DVDFab (with Mobile Option) and it looks like it will stay that way because Slysoft isn't interested in improving CloneDVD Mobile.
Slysoft's guarantee of "lifetime updates" doesn't mean squat if Slysoft is no longer actively developing the product which is currently the case with CloneDVD Mobile.

The changelog is quite nice for this new update. Multi-core support to speed up dealing with h.264 is definitely good to see.

After reading around I see SlySoft uses some open sourced work in them. Stealing is not something I condone so this will always be getting a 1 from me until the people at SlySoft fix this and stop stealing from open sourced programs.

This product has always been a leader. I have been upset with them - as they took way to long to support the Zune. This new version now supports the Zune (oh yeah). I tested it last night. Simple, direct and very nice onscreen feautes (like zoom). However, the file file still needs to be converted by Zune Software when it syncs. Finnal Result though is what matters. The Quality was Flawless - beautiful better then any ohter I have tried.

I tried this program in the past but lack of updates turned me off. If the Zune support is good i will be buying this product immediately

Awesome conversion utility. However, I wish there were more options for the DivX (generic) option. I have not been overly impressed with the quality of the final image even after I use the highest quality setting possible. It would also be nice to see other formats being used such as mpeg, namely so I can watch movies on my iPod Nano using Rockbox.
So far it shows that it has great potential but it still leaves room for improvement. This is why I only gave it 4 stars.

All of SlySoft's product are excellent. I just wanted to clarify one point.
Slysoft's apps do, indeed, contain rootkits. I've contacted SlySoft for details and they tol me it's the driver of the program that's embedded into the system.

CloneDVD Mobile with AnyDVD is a very powerful tool. I have used it to watch movies (I own - 3 used movied at blockbuter is only 20 bucks - I dodn't understand people not buying them) to my PSP. I would give 5 but it doesn't support ZUNE YET.

CloneDVD Mobile is a very easy to use piece of software, latest version supports even more portable devices, highly recommended.
As for the 'root kit' reviewers, complete tosh! I've been using it since the first beta, the only time it access the net is to check for updates and you can disable this function if you wish. In future check your facts before casting accusations.

There is no rootkit. Stop spreading rumors. All 3 of those forum posts are months and months old anyway. This and all other SlySoft software are quality products.

This is not true, you can select individual titles, and you can cut chapters (click on the little scissors, or even better read the online help).
The new version 1.0.2.1 seems to work very well, with the previous version my iPod didn't play any Audio.
