there is a game called UrbanTerror ( urbanterror.net) that is based of of the code and is now a stand alone game. TOTALLY FREE just to answer your questions :D

i really like ID for doing things like this. Sure the code may have been leaked years ago, but its still good to have it out so people can make free and legal games off of it.

someone remake team fortress for quake one using the same rules and only slightly upgraded graphics
