I was using ObjectDock until my disk drive ate itself and when I tried to reinstall it, found it was no longer free. I missed the convenience so I thought I would give this a try, very nice program, light weight and easy to configure.

I thought I'm going to waste some memory here. And I thought it's corny. But I was wrong! This is a very good luncher if you can set it up properly!

One of the best docks, imho.

Very nice dock, but since the 1.3x release it has been very unstable. It crashes on launch, asking if I want to "Should Rocketdock load the default icons?". After customizing and tweaking it for 30-45 minutes, no, I don't. This release, 1.3.3, won't even launch. It just throws an error.

It's ok, but RK Launcher by Yoni is way better. This program can use a lot of memory if you set everything on high graphics, but it doesn't suck. I think RK Launcher by Yoni is the best because it doesn't take much memory at all to run, has way better icon selections and shows any window when minimized into the dock.
I would recommend this second to RK Launcher by Yoni. You can find Yoni's RK Launcher at WinMatrix.com by searching for RK Launcher in the google field at the bottom of WinMatrix's website. I recommend download the dock with the reflective icons.

I've been using RocketDock for quite awhile now and it works beautifully. Never a problem! I have no idea what Blaxima is talking about in regards to the memory this program uses. On my Windows Xp, RocketDock utilizes 6264k of memory, while YzDock uses 7204k. So I have to call BS on that one. Also, YzDock doesn't behave properly on my system; it won't autohide at all. No thanks, Blaxima, I believe I'll stick to RocketDock.

It's FREE, you moron.

WOW, what a waste of memory. This thing has 10x the footprint that YzDock has. I rate this one as the worst of the dock programs. Depending on what you really need it for I say your better off with
1.YzDock
2.RkLauncher
3.Object Dock
4.RocketDock

This is a great program. It works without complaint or trouble, both this version and the prior one. It is easy to customize, as well.

Well the app has nice eye candy, but thats about it.
If you're running with the explorer shell, it's absolutely useless cause it's just redundant functionality of what windows already has. So I decided to try using it instead of explorer, and it just crashes too much to be a replacement. I know most people won't consider once a day a lot, but considering I usually only have explorer crash once a week, thats a lot.
The other problem I had was that after about a day of using it, all the system shortcuts (My Computer, Network Places, etc.) all stopped working correctly.

Getting better all the time.
Still, it lacks 2 key features for me. The first is an option to set it to reserve the screen space it takes up so that like the Windows Taskbar and Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar, it will force app windows to border only up to the edge of the dock and not the edge of the screen.
The second is, again like those two apps, to be able to extend itself so that it takes up the full width or height of the screen, whether it is set to appear on the side or on the top or bottom.
If those features were added, I think it would really beat out most everything else it competes against, or at least be right up there on the top tier.
