tanga_t are you psychically retarded or something similar ? because you wrote total nonsense, not connected with real world... great i was wondering , why usb have only like 120 hz reads per second, where ps2 could be set to like 200 hz. Now i know usb can be set from 250 to 1000 hz. In most cases its possible to set 500 reads per second (with good wired mouse) !!! Still you should know that is done by increasing cpu usage, but i think all pro gamers should have already very good hardware configuration, thats little trade off anyway.

installed it last night and set it to 1000hz.

i havent seen anyone anywhere mention using this setting, but i noticed a difference instantly in CS:Source. mouselook was significantly smoother on my mx500 compared to stock. i had to change my windows sensitiy up a notch and my CS:S sens down .1 but it feels almost exactly the same as before, just noticably smoother.
gave it a 4 as it's not a necessity for me so far, but it may become one after further use.

I've been using this program since v1.0, have set my rate to 500hz versus the standard 125hz and am using an MX510. At first, I didn't really notice a difference, but as I tried it out on a few different FPS games for a little while, I started to feel it and had to lower my in-game sensitivity. I might drop down to 250hz though, but it's felt great in every FPS game I play. Thank you Anir!

Not rating the program, but im sure it is good, just here to defend it...

Tanga_t: For every person that doesnt like something like this there are 10 others that do, if no developers made small things like this then there would be alot of unhappy people. It's not really useless, there are alot of people that swear by faster mice giving them better game scores, me, myself can get top scores in FPS games with my old logitech wireless optical (not even MX series). For the people that think it gives them some advantage, its good for them, for everyone else dont bother to give it bad ratings, just dont download it.

Wouldn't it be great if, for once, programmers could communicate the use of their work??? I'm really grateful that there is freeware, open source etc. but I can't remember the thousands of times I found some software that I probably could make use of, only to surf away from the site beacuse the programmer neglected to sum up the *why should I use it*, *what is it for* and *how do I use it*. ...and once again, before the flaming starts, I am truly grateful that there is freeware but come on, if not fame *and* fortune there still is *fame* left towards the creator and if I could program, I'd at least set my goals towards the fame part, and that would be my payment. Therefore I'd have to accept complaints on my work. I would also try to spread the code to as much people as possible and at the same time tell them what they need it for...
