Common Sense says. If it monitors Booting. It is Running.
Therefore... It has to load............... "Loading takes Time"... 0*

Without being critical of free software for private use a simple stopwatch found on all phones is just as reliable, counting in milliseconds is pretty pointless as load times vary because changes & or updates in programs that are part of Windows boot & will change by a second or so frequently - As Windows 8 is not intended to be rebooted frequently I really can't see the point of this program unless you have lots of time with nothing to do.
Check what's loading @boot using Autoruns will give good results or install Linux & be using the net before Windows (any version & however configured) has got it's shoes on.

This does as it says it's simple to use ,and tells what your real boot to use time and keep an eye on it?

Wow--what a bunch of stoneheads we have here. Let me make some points to you people:
1. Resuming from standby is not "booting". And it's not a viable option for people who use full-disk encryption, because it's not secure (the encryption keys are stored in memory where they could be theoretically confiscated).
2. Restarting is not the same as "booting". A VBS script that determines how long it takes to RESTART is not performing the same function as a utility that determines how long it takes to BOOT (or login).
3. This utility does not claim to reduce boot times. It only claims to help determine boot times. The point is that you can change your system configuration, and determine whether it affected your boot time. (For example, by adding/removing/updating drivers, adding/removing/updating software, changing Windows configuration, etc.)

My Computer Boots up in 2 or 3 seconds
because I use the suspend to ram feature
(called sleep or s3)

This has been available for quite a long time in VBS format without a GUI.
Now, if this program had a way of tracing the boot FILES and the time it takes to load them, then rearrange the files in the Prefetch or be able to cache them faster, then this program would be of some use.
As of now, the GUI is the only difference from what's been around for years.
Here's the code for the VBS file. Copy and paste it into a new Text document, save as (whatever file name) .VBS (making sure to change the file format to All Files)
Option Explicit
On Error Resume Next
Dim Wsh, Time1, Time2, Result, PathFile, MsgResult, MsgA, AppName, KeyA, KeyB, TimeDiff
MsgA = "Please close all running applications and click on OK."
KeyA = "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RestartTime\"
KeyB = "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\RestartTime"
AppName = "Restart-Time"
Set Wsh = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
PathFile = """" & WScript.ScriptFullName & """"
Result = wsh.RegRead(KeyA & "Times")
if Result = "" then
MsgResult = Msgbox (MsgA, vbOKCancel, AppName)
If MsgResult = vbcancel then WScript.Quit
Wsh.RegWrite KeyA & "Times", left(Time,8), "REG_SZ"
Wsh.RegWrite KeyB, PathFile, "REG_SZ"
Wsh.Run "cmd /c Shutdown -r -t 00", false, 0
else
Wsh.RegDelete KeyA & "Times"
Wsh.RegDelete KeyA
Wsh.RegDelete KeyB
TimeDiff = DateDiff("s",Result,left(Time,8))
MsgBox "Your computer restarts in " & TimeDiff & " seconds", VbInformation, AppName
end if
wscript.Quit
Then, simply run it - it will restart your computer and tell you how fast it boots up.
Sorry Greatis Software - this is **pointless** without the ability to actually FIX the boot time problems!

Not really a useful program, as anyone who can tell the time can time how long their computer takes to boot. A better program would of been to also monitor how long each program etc. takes to load up during boot, and to measure other items to see how long they take (whatever those are :) )
That way one could see why their system takes x amount of time to boot up.

From power on until my HD stops spinning, is 33 seconds, this program keeps counting for minutes later. The computer had been sitting idle for a long time. I ended up having to endtask it twice. Still has a lot of bugs there. It is also pretty pointless.

Pros: None
Cons: A waste of PC usage.
Bottom Line: Better off using a cell phone watch.

i do not see an option that it can improve your boottime, it only tells if it is fast enough...but..it is usefull, do we need it..i think that peepz that using pc are allready aware if their pc is taking to much time to boot or not, maybe some of you find it handy so i am just waiting for those review comments.
