You must be joking.
This website is built on top of Drupal: http://www.whitehouse.gov/
Drupal is a real CMS, unlike Workpress which was created as a blogging platform.

Installed this alpha release on my web hosting account, install went ok. However, when trying to configure the install, I keep getting messages from my host account saying that this version of drupal is not supported and asks me to upgrade. Anyone else had this issue??

juanito1968,
Drupal is not an "Applictaion" in the EXE way, it is a Web server application that use PHP as running language and it is a real amazing and powerfull CMS system.
It is provided as .tar.gz that can be unpacked on a Windows machine as zip/rar.
Your comments show that you have very poor computing knowledge.

juanito1968,
Drupal is ONLY meant to be installed if you understand how LAMP/WAMP works. If you don't know what HTTP server, SQL server, file system ARE, please, refrain from reviewing this software.
Drupal is a PLATFORM it's not a F*CKING TOY to run from EXE/MSI - will you update it regularly, will you be able to configure it, do you even basically understand how PHP works and how one can program using PHP? If not, PLEASE, stop reviewing this software.

Both tar (file format) and gzip (compression tool) are cross-platform. And if your Windows archiver cannot handle .tar.gz file, then you are using oboslete software.
And giving something negative score just because you have no idea how to use it is just stupid. Would you write a negative review about a space shuttle if you even would not have been able to seal its hatches?

Artem Tashkinov, when I talk about Win software I refere 2 .exe / .msi installers, basically.
A .tar.gz is for Linux what a .zip or a .rar is for Windows.
It this software needs a programmer to be used, well, its description is quite poor.

Indeed I hate it when people vote down a product just because their OS/browser/Ego/Etc. is not supported.
Even worse are comments like uanito1968 who are completely incorrect in their statements! Do some reach search kid!!

juanito1968, please, do not write "reviews" if you don't know a heck about Drupal. You look like an idiot.
Drupal only requires PHP and MySQL (and HTTP server) for functioning and they work under any modern platform be it Windows or Unix.
