Pros: I have kmp 42.2.2.19 - a great player with many options, but..

Cons: It ALWAYS asks to download an update, preventing from me quickly looking at a file..

Bottom Line: I will NOT use it untill the authors give **reliable* means to switch off ALL nags..

Pros: I'd like to try KMPlayer again but, the last time I tried it.. it seems it had adware or something similar in it. I hope someone with more savvy in protecting against those types of apps installing along with the software can try out this new version and report back for the rest of us who have fond memories of using it in the past.

Cons: Until I know otherwise.. worries about it's installer adding AdWare or similar PUPs during installing.

Bottom Line: ..I'm waiting until someone can report back who knows how to catch this type of thing during an installation since they're not really malware or virus type of hidden unwanted bits.

I really used to like this software, a ton. But, that was a number of years back now. Please let me/us know if this is clean, etc.. Someone who's set up to catch anything Potentially Unwanted installing with it. Thanks.!

Pros: First impressions are that this a very competant player, I did not notice any ads disturbing my video viewing. Seems to have a lot of options available.

Cons: My only criticism is that the controls are too small.

Used to really like it until my screen was invaded with popups and I had a sales track superimposed over my films. What the hell were they thinking?

I still use v3.0.0.1442 .. Only for Pre-Editing Video.. (End Of).

I keep my eye on the changes & altho I rate this App very highly,
I don't require any of the updates since my version.
KMPlayer has many, MANY configs But is in danger of getting a bit "Too Busy".

Not @noob territory.. BUT..!! You gotta start somewhere.
Be ready for a lot of head scratchin' if you give it a go... lol .. ^_^

My version v3.0.0.1442 gets 5* .. I won't comment of later versions.

- Get the portable version for a Try-Out
- Tons of Configs. You gotta be keen to need 'em all tho..!!

Other Apps have frozen on me Incl MPC (classic & HD)

KMPlayer needs more attention from programmers. Latest versions after 3.3 brings many bugs into program.

PotPlayer is currently better option.

This is a great, full featured, player - considered one of the best amongst enthusiasts. Personally I prefer PotPlayer but this is excellent software.

PS: KMPlayer doesn't install ASK Toolbar - YOU install ask toolbar. noob.

Used this player for several years, but I fear it's jumped the shark.
I kept hoping the random crashes would be cured by each new release, but no joy. Worse, as alluded to by several others, it's beginning to suffer feature bloat.
