There is a totally new interface & engine, the new AV module is actually from Vipre & the program runs well with little slowdown or bloat.

The problem is Ad-Aware was years ago great but recently was dreadful, bloated & very resource hungry so it's going to take time for it to regain any sort of reputation esp with past users. - The pay version isn't expensive - Time will tell but looking much better - Worth a try now.

mfarmilo

mfarmilo reviewed v10.5.0.4339 on Feb 19, 2013

I remember the anti-spyware version of this program falling out of favour a few years ago, when it did indeed become very resource - hungry. It's now a full Antivirus & Antispyware package and very light on the system wherever I've used it.

Best of all, the Antivirus comparison sites list it up there among the top handful for the level of protection it gives.

Version 9.6 with ad watch live and browser watch and toolbar is a disaster on XP running IE8. Open in new tab command takes five minutes to open the page, then opens it in a new window instead. It slows all pages from opening, even in same window/tab to the point where you have to think the browser has crashed/frozen. And to add insult to injury, this latest trash version does not allow you to disable or remove the ad watch live feature. Once AdAware 9.6 is uninstalled, all browsing returns to normal. This app is as bad or worse than a virus infection.

Ad-aware used to be such a good program. I used it for about 10 years and it caught just about everything on my computer. Since they upgraded to the Anniversary Edition, it is completely useless. I have a computer with xp and a gig of ram which is plenty for xp and it constantly locks up my computer and uses almost half of my RAM. Locks up the computer to the point that I can’t even use it, even when it is not scanning. I tried to go back to some of the older versions, but they made it where you cannot update them anymore. One only gets to 5% and will not update, the other gives and error retrieving update at 84%. And none of the other versions will let you update either. Since the new version is useless and locks up the computer and they have disabled the older versions from being updated, I am forced to switch to another program. I am going to go back to Mal-Ware Bytes Anti-Malware as that does not lock up my computer and does the job.

AD-AWARE HAS SERIOUS ISSUES WITH WINDOWS 7 – 5 MARCH 2010.

Has been a good solid program up until this release – DO NOT DOWNLOAD AD-AWARE 8.2!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!! It has serious compatibility issues with Windows 7. The program keeps switching itself off leaving you the customer UNPROTECTED! All you see is a red ‘x’ in the Action Center stating that Ad-Aware is SWITCHED OFF!

I have had Ad-Aware for a number of years and found it to be generally a good all round program. I downloaded Ad-Aware 8.2 and straight away I kept seeing a red ‘x’ in the Action Center saying it had switched itself off! I’ve also noticed that the program FREEZES UP during routine scans! It seriously STOPS your PC in its tracks and causes havoc because you have to go about re-booting to try to take control of your PC again! Contacted Customer Service who were UNSYMPATHETIC and they had NO ANSWER!!!!! Poor service and unfinished program release!!!!!

Used to be a fair program years ago when malware wasn't as prevalent. I use Malwarebytes now and Comodo firewall. I also run Spybot and Superantispyware. Together with Spybot S&D (rate detection wise, not the SSD browser protection which is quite good IMO), the urban legends of antimalware software. Some of our clients (the ones that think that they know about computers) install one or both by themselves without even knowing how they work. Even if they did, the malware caught by these products aren't the real bad ones which can throw a Windows to the rubbish bin.
Go get something useful like Malwarebytes, SpywareBlaster, Combofix, avast!, Avira or even MSSE (depending on your specific needs, of course).

I normally review something and let it simmer for a while. But I was O.K. with this eariler product and ran with it. I got rid of AVG on my other PC went/w AVIRA. bEEN VERY HAPPY. Also run THREAT FIRE. This combo is on my 2 other PCs and reviewed it before I loaded them...the combo is easy and works fine. Only thing is pop up which if you want you can trn off...JUST SAY NO to Ad-Aware!

This review covers the interface, not any internal scanning capabilities.

Text in the GUI looks washed-out and blurry. Of course they are using all custom controls, so forget about using keyboard shortcuts like Tab or Escape. Is the whole thing just a giant clickable bitmap? How about rescinning regular Windows instead of going back to the year 2000 when owner-draw controls were The Sh*t, and everyone had to have their cool rounded button?

Just open services.msc and find Lavasoft Service, then change start type to Manual. Then it will work just like Ad-Aware SE did. PERFECT!!

Well done Lavasoft, Radically reduced computer resource use its now only 18% of CPU during scans which is an improvement of 60% over the previous version, and markedly better than top competitors including AVG, Kaspersky, Norton 360, and PC Tools.Scans hitting 36 MB per second which tops scanning speeds over AVG, Kaspersky, Norton, and PC Tools. Behavior-based heuristics methodology to pinpoint the newest forms of malware which is always good in my book. Overhauled real-time blocking with the newly integrated Ad-Watch Live! (Realtime protection finally) Lavasoft SmartSet is set with default settings based on their expert recommendations meaning you are ‘good to go’ immediately after installation. Learn how to use a PC first then you can comment objectively.

Morningdove

Morningdove reviewed vAnniversary Edition 8.0.0.0 on Jan 20, 2009

I have made various attemps to get this program to run. It just won't start!

ADDENDUM: The program is now running. If you are having the same problem there is a topic pinned on the Lavasoft forum that should solve the problem:
http://www.lavasoftsuppo...d=93711&#entry93711

I have no way to measure if Ad-Aware catches more or less bugs than other programs and I don't *copy* information from vendor's websites, but I can say it is much easier to use and has more operable features than previous free versions. I will use Ad-Aware along with several others, as it is my understanding that no single malware detector can remove all of the bugs.

ADDENDUM 2: A Major frustration: Regardless of how you configure the automatic updates settings, they are forced upon you. When Ad-Aware starts, it places an entry in the Scheduled Tasks folder. If you remove the entry, it is replaced the next time Ad-Aware starts. There are ways to block this action, but why should we have to?

Incidentally, I just visited the Ad-Aware forum and there are already 12 pages of problem reports. I'm beginning to think this program is not ready for prime time.

ADDENDUM 3: WARNING! Study the forum before deciding to use AE. Your entire system could be wiped out! I won't use AE again until it matures and the myriad of problems are resolved.

Ad-Aware used to be great. I have given them many chances, even recently, to redeem themselves.

The truth is, they just don't remove as much spyware as other programs available. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and SuperAntiSpyware are at the top of my list right now. They are much better at removing vundo and smitfraud variants.

UniversityofKentucky reviewed vAnniversary Edition 8.0.0.0 on Jan 20, 2009

I truly appreciate what they've done in the past. Ad-Aware, however, has degraded since upgrading from SE. At first it would just hang trying to get updates. That's fixed, to their credit. My biggest complain is it's slow. I have several utilities in my toolkit and, unfortunately, I've had to remove Ad-Aware.

kungfuless

kungfuless reviewed vAnniversary Edition 8.0.0.0 on Jan 20, 2009

I don't know what you are all complaining about, this is way faster than the likes of Avira on my system and also doesn't slow my computer to a standstill like that program does.

The interface looks better than AVGs big awkward one and Avira's dull program. I like this new Ad-Aware and think it is much improved and protects me well without making me pay a cent. Of course they have to have a paid version with extra functions, how on earth would these companies have people working for them if they gave it only for free? They dont have volunteers finding the malware.

I like it. Much better than 2008.

This thing stinks to high Heaven. Adaware has taken a free program that worked well and was so fast and user friendly I would have been perfectly willing to pay for it, and COMPLETELY ruined it. I Can't see how some can write a favorable review of this extremely user unfriendly bloatware.

Maybe I am old-fashioned, but I think a superior product should get the job done without eating up valuable space AND be user friendly. This crap is none of the above.

Those Einstein-like geniuses who are convinced that everyone else is stupid and should remain silent until earning their doctorate in computer sciences need to keep their snide remarks to themselves too. The overwhelming adundance of bad reviews on this product speaks for itself. 1 star is really too much.

lukasavage / Das Mod: While the "review" article written by Betanews was not much in favor to the program, it doesn't justify "1" ratings.

Ahem... The program in this 2008 version aint that bad, if you consider it as PAYWARE and you actually get it full, just because of how wide it is.
Its indeed light and perfectly responsive, but it's dead slow for a full scan. I really disliked that it seems to have Ad-Watch free, but it doesnt!!!
v2007 has been treated to harshly by many jumpy users. And just get over it, software aint about lowest mem usage at all.

Excellent software and works very well. People need to learn how to use software before making bad reports about it here. half the problem is many do not read instructions or do not understand them, so give bad reports which is really sad. This software is one of the best, and if you do not understand it, do not make a bad report, get some help. Those as said here, who claim to be in the know but really don't know, should be silent and not make a report at all. It is sad when you think you know it all, and you know nothing!

I do agree that it has become slow due to the newer GUI but, this is still one of the best Ad-ware apps. Some people who visit this site act like they have the know. If they make a mistake when they install something they fault the product and rate it poorly. In high school we had the same problem, kids wouldn't study and their poor grades would screw up the bell curve.

The app is overstyled and like an other user said: stairs down to norton. Once the best tool, now not needed. What a way ...

So: Use firefox/opera/safari etc. but no IE --> You don't need such antispyware tools. Sure, you must keep your eyes wide open on many installers, but else?

RastaWorld

Ad-Aware was 'THE' must have software for spyware removal.

Running it against others such as SpyBot and Spyware Terminator, Ad-Aware now misses many that the freeware ones pick up.

Also, it has never been able to successfully remove Smit-Fraud. And yes, its just like the way Nortons antivirus went. From Top-Notch useful fast software, to bloated, all about business and less focus on what the product should do.

EDIT

Solved Ad-Aware 2008 beta install problem:

1. Open elevated command prompt and run both these commands:

Net localgroup Administrators localservice /add

Net localgroup Administrators "Network Service" /add

btw this will also fix varied failed installs like MS Office, SQL, VB, Visual Studio, Aol Aim updates, etc.

2. Download 7zip latest beta and use it to extract adaware2008 setup file.

3. Go inside newly-created subdirectory and run lsupdatemanager.exe ... let it do its thing.

4. Merge Pubkey.key(don't worry about fail message).

5. Wait a bit for update manager to finish in background.... it will seem like it already had finished, but soon you will be presented with prompt to install adaware 2008.

6. BTW during install update manager will run again...BUT you must still re-run update upon program install.

ENJOY!!!
________________________________________________

Yes, very bloated-- so now a Service too? And buggy as hell: it will not install unless previous version uninstalls first... but the last few 2007 versions will not uninstall- throwing various errors(on Vista): from service can't be stopped, to file in use, to missing uninstall file.
And NOOOOO, the usual cures of safe mode, reinstalling(reinstalling / repairing throw out a different error message in fact), stopping/disabling service do not provide a solution... and will not completely uninstall either.
Update Manager does not offer newer beta BTW...

Unfortunately it seems that, since the end of December 2007, Lavasoft stopped updating the definition files for the SE version.

The installer is very confusing, prompting you for your license key. Users who want the Free version need to click Cancel. Not that it tells you this.

The updater erroneously states there is a new version of Ad-Aware 2007 available, and then throws an obscure error when you tell it to take to you the update.

The scanner itself works fine, although it seems to have less customization in the Free version than Ad-Aware 2006 Free did...

I fully agree.

I ran AdAware SE Pro for a long time, then I stupidly purchased AdAware 2007 Pro (by Lavasoft's "come on" to switch to AdAware 2007) - TWICE.

I can't even get AdAware 2007 to Register or even accept the Serial Number that they sent me by Email, and nothing that Lavasoft Support suggests works, even though I have "killed", by their recommendation, as many running Programs as possible (which I never had to do with SE).

When I enter the Serial Number, it checks the Lavasoft Server, to obtain the "Unlock Key", and it consistently returns an invalid unlock key, which never works.

Even when Lavasoft sends me new "serial numbers" and "unlock keys" they don't work.

They admittedly (by their own previous statement) have problems with their AdAware 2007 Registration Server, which sometimes will not even connect (not the same problem with their AdAware SE Server).

They can ONLY be contacted by Email, or their Address in Sweden, or their Telephone Number in Sweden - they do not even have a USA Office or Telephone, even though they sell their products in the USA.

I still run AdAware SE but, as people say, AdAware 2007 sucks, Lavasoft has destroyed a good thing !

only giving it a 3 because of its detection rate. while the old version 6 is a fantastic piece of software, the 2007 version is a bloated piece of crap. every time i've tried to update this (especially the program files rather than the signatures) it hangs the program up.. has done so on multiple computers. when you update the signatures you can't even tell if it's doing anything or not, no download status/progress bar, nothing.. just a 1 minute pause before it reports if it worked or not. ad-aware 6 was sooo much better. does this supposedly detect/clean more stuff than v6? if not, i don't know why i would ever use this new version! spybot surpasses this crap in detection/cleaning rate in the real world. Cons:
Size (17.2 MB? Too big for my taste)
Relentless background service (bad solution)

Ruined. Eats memory, installs services, and you still need to run Spybot to catch everything.

Ad-Aware went corporate, and they forgot the job at hand, don't make a nice UI and waste memory - clean spyware! I have lost faith in this product and I have been using it for years.

The status bar for scanning is my favorite part of AAW 2007.

I don't want to discourage use of 2007 (I will use 2007 exclusively from now on), but it feels sluggish when attempting to update the program and definitions.

I don't know what it is, but something in the GUI feels incomplete. AAW 1.06r1 was easy for beginners to navigate, but I suspect beginners will be asking questions on how to use AAW 2007.

Overall, I think this version is moving in the right direction, but something is odd about the GUI, which wasn't caught during beta testing.

This is awful horrible crap , I've been using it since 2003 , thousands of computers I've personally installed this on , thousands of recommendations and thousands of diagnostics tests ran with this program. I've also certainly sold hundreds of copies.

This new version sucksass.

Multiple exception errors , First dozen installations blew the hell up , the updating process now is just FUBAR.

You now cannot custom select a specific drive to scan only (Like external windows drive) with the free version..WTF? every other anti-malware program ever allows this.

Horrible resource consumption , unnecessary suspicious services a** jacking older systems....

jesus...

No vista support till October? lol

Did I mention it blows up every F'n time you touch it?

This program is now in the same category as Windows defender , Spy sweeper , McAfee and Norton
this will be pulled from all tech disks , jump drives , recommendations and from any computer that comes in with it installed.

ZenWarrior

ZenWarrior reviewed v7.0.1.2 on Jun 11, 2007

An unexpected low rating because although the new version did find malware I did not know (nor thought) was on a system, a previous FileForum reviewer is right. Ad-Aware now does indeed leave an apparently malware-like rogue process running that uses at least 40 MB of memory. That's even after a user exits the program.

No resident protection nor another reason for the rogue process to remain, at least with the free version? Then why a leave a useless resource hog (using more memory than some malware even) running on systems?

And, until this little problem is fixed and exiting the program means terminating all Ad-Aware processes, I'll consider the new Ad-Aware to be malware itself.

The program provides a good service. However the free edition which has no real-time protection enabled still manages to use a whopping 50MB of memory in the background. Process aawservice.exe runs in the background no matter if you have the program running or not. And don't give me a lame excuse that it can be turned off. This process should not be running in the first place. Period! So I'm uninstalling it.

Part of a series of programs that are moving from traditional installation to service-based scanning in XP. Problem is, that keeps the program in memory perpetually and leads to more compatibility problems with other security software. The beta conflicted with several different antivirus suites I tried. The scanner was much slower than the SE version, although seemed more thorough. In any case, the continual problems with the service eating up processor cycles makes this a non-workable piece of software for me. I'm clinging to the preceding version unless something great happens.

The software starts with out to load the latest definitions ...
It thinks that something is wrong ,and starts lets called in safe mode, and uses the definitions, that this version comes with !!

This is a major problem , that older versions did not had .

Other than that , yes with the use of Firefox, this software, the only bad boys that it finds , is just few tracking cookies.

Any way its good tool, for an alternative system check, and nothing more .

Ad-Aware SE Professional Edition offers you the highest level of protection from malicious software which includes browser hijackers, keyloggers, and tracking cookies. Taking advantage of Lavasoft’s Code Sequence Identification (CSI) technology, Ad-Aware is able to protect you from both known and unknown variants of these threats; and with real-time protections of Ad-Watch you can block suspicious processes from affecting your system. However, I run Spysweeper as on-demand only because it's too hard on resources in real-time mode. BTW people, there is an excellent little option in SpyBot SD to further harden your system against spyware. Open Spybot, click on Tools, then place a checkmark on Hosts File. Click on Hosts File , then click on add SpyBot S&D Hosts List. What this does is harmlessly redirect a comprehensive list of known spyware ip addresses to your local loopback (machine's) address, rather than to the malignant address. Very nifty. Joe Refund:

The VX2 hijacker exploit is a fairly new and extremely difficult bug to kill. There are specific apps that address that particular one. To help you better understand the nature of it, you should read up on the 'Home Search Assistent' variant of hijacker which not only infects your system, but installs itself as a service, so that even when you think you've deleted it, the service will reproduce the infection. While support may be lacking, the program itself is actually quite effective all by itself. The very best environment to run it in is from a BartPE or WinPE environment which is totally outside your own OS, and thus prevents services from running, and respawning.

I do agree that if you bought something, you should get adequate support for it, but rather than attacking the company, you should do more research on removing this particular threat from your system.. Then you can understand the nature of the beast, and not hate so much.

This program gets a well deserved 5.

A good way to avoid getting (prevention is always better than cure) spyware is not to use IE at all. Use a decent browser instead - http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ . Once you get it this program is the one to help get rid of it.

I really don't care for the cutesy interface. I also find settings being forgotten, especially the "Move deleted files to Recycle Bin" option, which refuses to stick between runs, or if I close the settings dialog with the caption button (and is a rather important setting, at that).

Right now, Ad-Aware is done scanning on my system. The main window says the current operation is "Finished", but right under that, it says "Scanning IE Favorites...". Annoying.

I know it's heresy to decry a freebie favorite, but oh well. Maybe I shouldn't even be running or reviewing Ad-Aware, since it has never found anything besides a couple cookies and MRU items on my system. I would probably love it too, if it cleaned up after my own stupidity. As it is, I can't really evaluate if it does a damned useful thing or not.

Great program with better tweak controls and detections than 6.0. The previous rater said that he has not recieved his link for the plus version. I still highly recommend Ad-Aware as the top of the line Spyware removal tool.

The only complaint I have is minor user interface cosmetics... as mentioned by another, the double-click column width to resize only to see it resort instead. Also, this new version seems very "flat".... and it's hard to tell which button is pressed when in Preferences and main screen.

httpd.confused

httpd.confused reviewed v1.02 on Aug 11, 2004

It's useful, but I hate the stupid "Zip Error" messages that pop up (and steal focus) whenever the stupid thing comes across an archive format it doesn't recognize. I also don't care for the toolbar button that serves no purpose except to try to sell you an upgrade. And of course, you have to sift though the settings, because about 60% of them only apply to the pay version (another attempt to get you to pay for the upgrade).

Then you have little annoyances such as when you place the cursor between two columns and double click--expecting the column to the left to auto size--the list re-sorts itself instead.

Ad-Aware (and I love how they have started capitalizing the "A" in "Aware") flagged my home page as a "Possible Browser Hijack attempt". So what's my home page, you ask? Nothing more than "about:blank". Not particularly impressive.

It is important for security software not to waste your time. For Ad-Aware to be flagging things like swreg.org cookies and blank "home pages" is equivalent to an anti-virus utility giving constant false positives.

Great program as usual.... however a couple things that I find annoying. First, when checking for updates it says that v 1.02 is out (which couldn't find a link to) and asks to go download it. When I click ok it opens up IE, and I hate IE (especially since its the doorway for a lot of that junk to get into the system). Why can't they just set it to open the link in the default browser? Secondly, it would be nice if it could scan the cookies of opera/mozilla as well (once again, because not everyone uses IE).

Ad-aware uses a really simplistic means of flagging "spyware", and for that reason, it can very readily and happily offer to delete legitimate programs and registry entries which just happen to be named similar to some obscure spyware item. All Ad-aware has ever found on my systems is cookies--gee whiz, how helpful. I realize that this is handy for some people, but honestly: If you really need this thing, you also really need to learn how to avoid spyware in the first place.

excellent. just don't use the adwatch part, it doesn't work properly. if you need internet filters/popup killers, use webwasher+meaya popup ad filter. the main part, i.e. the adaware programme itself is excellent, even though the newest pro version found only 8 cookies on my system, nothing more. but it's not adaware's fault, I simply know how to protect my system from spyware, so there was nothing to remove. so this programme is rather for newbies, all others should search on google for "programme_name spyware" before installing anything. and set your IE activeX to high. then nothing bad can happen and you won't need this programme.

I have used Lavasoft since it's very beginning, and this final .7 has even now me baffled I found entries and reg keys that should never have been on my system as i am extremly particular about the stuff I install,....What a treat after months and months finally found something new :-)......

I just ran this program on my XP box, and it worked fine. Very useful program. I do have one suggestion. At the final screen where you select what to remove I accidently hit the finish button before I selected anything to remove. I then lost all the scan results and had to scan again. It would be nice to see a message box to prompt to make sure you don't want to remove any items if none are selected.

This great program works fine in my 98 and XP. If don't work in your machine is really a bad karma!

I sometimes question the intelligence level of some of the posters here. "This program totally kicks butt but it doesn't work on my machine at all and I'm too dense to go find the English version that actually would work". Anyway, Ad-aware has saved my a** quite a few times and I recomend it to anyone who wants a way of seeing what spyware programs/utilities are located on their computer. I have yet to see something else that matches Ad-aware.

Just use RefUpdate 1.1 from www.lavasoftusa.com to update the ad-aware reference files.

What AdAware does is different than an antivirus program as AdAware uninstalls spyware apps. But you are right, there should be some kind of scripting support.

...what about updating database instead of changing editon?updating via internet like antiviruses.

What's this 5.0?
Ad-Aware deserves at least a 10 ;)
It's been said before and I'll say it again.
You must have it!!
Not just for you but everyone.
Get the word out, the fewer 'clients' these underhanded companies have the better. The more their commercial trojans are removed, the less they'll try to use them, ....
Hopefully

Excellent Freeware that eliminates that pesky "onflow" from my system. I run it at least once a week. Very nice configuration. One *small* suggestion, add a "close" to the program. Thanks for keeping it Freeware! I would recommend this to everyone to keep the spyware off your system.

Very nice, I knew I had advert.dll from netvampire, but thats just 1 dll, not the newer system with the app and reg settings, so i wasnt worried about that, but it found it, and the app at grc.com never found it, and it also found some cookies... never really thought about deleting banner ad cookies, good idea... great little app, works great.

The first time I ran this program a few months ago, it found 111 bad files! When I turned on the 'Look deeper' feature, it found another 32. Yikes!! OptOut had said my system was clean. 5 stars for the writters.

ComradeF reviewed v5.1 on Jun 5, 2001

Well, I'm a careful poweruser (as most are), and so I don't have any spyware on my computer... I'm a tad paranoid... However, after reviewing the options and such of Ad-ware 5.1, and reading other reviews, I must say, I'm quite impressed. I give it a 5, if not for being a good program (which I wasn't able to test, cus of my already clean system), then for the brilliant concept -- and for being FREE. Excellent.

Exremely useful, always up-to-date. Essential for anyone who favors their privacy or dislikes advertising clutter on their computer. You'd be surprised how much crap is lurking around your system telling piece of s*** marketers how they can better profit off of your online experience...

The best, fastest, surest way to rid your computer of that nice little spyware that some sites seem to want you to have. Yes, "doubleclick" are the others that just want "to know what your online habits are" are nicely removed from your system. This is certainly must have freeware!

4.01? I've been using 4.02 for a week or more, so what gives? Regardless of the version confusion, this is an excellent program. It's fast, and it finds and cleans all sorts of little nasties that can spy on you and slow your system down. 6 thumbs up!

Ad-aware is as far as I'm able to evaluate - the best tool today against intruders who destroy the beautiful marriage ad-ware once where.

All honour to Steve Gibson and his research, which put facts to suspicion. His OptOut program is today free, but will soon become a commercial program. Further OptOut in its freeware version only detect and remove Aureate / Radiate intruders.

Ad-aware promise to stay free, and is already detecting (and removing) Conducent / TimeSink, CometCursor, Gator, Cydoor and Web3000 along with Aureate / Radiate. And yes, it found the Real Networks / NetZip's new privacy violation that is shipped with "good old" Netscape. Further you can choose which program spy's you want to get rid of and which you want to leave (if you really want to keep a program supporting spyware that is).

I have only one wish to the people in LavaSoft: go ahead and develop a CLEAN banner / advertising program for all those software developers who could need some bucks for their effort and software development. Then advertisers with an attitude would be able to show this as well by refusing aureate and alike!

Allow adware as it was BEFORE dirty money put it's slimy fingers in it -, as I believe very few users mind advertising banners. We just want to ban the intruders. So promote advertising banners which ban intruder spies.

Just forget the lost case of adware and call it ban-ware ((-:

Good we have these guys from Denmark / Lavasoft, great people from a small country. A CLEAN five star evaluation from me.
